True true. But even Vegas only had floyd a 2-1 favorite, which seemed way to close, to me at least.
Hell yeah it was way too close. What also gets me is how a lot of people, before the fight, would not say who they thought would win. I'm sorry but any person who knows about boxing should know that while it may have looked good on paper, in reality it made no sense. Canelo should not have been in the ring with Floyd. I said it before the Trout fight and I said it when the fight was announced.

As for Floyds next fight, I don't think there is any solid competition out there that will beat him. Martinez doesn't have it and Pac's time is up. Khan? Khan? LMAO.

I know that's the shitty thing. Basically Khan, Garcia or Alexander. B level guys. Khan would probably do the most numbers especially if Floyd fights in England (he's said numerous times he wanta to). Would be funny seeing Khan get stretched but honestly I don't see him beating Alexander in December anyways.

People got there hopes up because no matter what a lot of them want to see Floyd lose. The guy can be the president of the next bum of the month club and they'll still cheer for him as if he has a chance.
Floyd's PPV numbers are largely built on how much hype they can build about the next guy having a chance. It's going to be REALLY hard to sell the public and casual boxing fan that the next guy has a real chance to beat him unless it was a middleweight moving down.

And a prime Leonard, Duran, or Hearns probably beats Floyd or AT THE VERY LEAST takes 1 of 2 if there was a rematch. There's a reason why he never fought guys like Margarito or Williams. I'll leave Pacquiao out of that cause I'm tired of that argument. But either way, excellent performance all the way around. I was thoroughly impressed. And kinda pissed even to see Canelo just lay on the ropes and let Mayweather tee off on him.

I doubt Khan's chin would hold up to anyone but of all the available guys that Floyd could've faced in the last several years, Khan probably has the best jab/straight punches. Those have seemed to give Floyd the most trouble of any style he has faced. But again, who really knows what's left of Khan. It hasn't looked like a whole lot is left. I honestly couldn't care less about an Alexander/Khan matchup.

I wouldn't mind Pacquiao-Mayweather...just to fulfill my imagination . It'd be like lewis tyson lol. Everyone wanted to see it 5 years prior but watched it anyway just because the fight at one point in time was so intriguing

No defense and no chin Hearn would beat Mayweather lol. SRL and no defense Hearn would get they ass kicked by Mayweather. Prime SRL took 10 rounds to KO part-time fighter and part-time drug dealer Mayweather Sr. Mayweather would beat his ass. Lol Hearn had no chin for the most accurate punches in boxing history. Both guys would be 147lb on fight night Mayweather would beat the ever loving shit out of both guys. Lol. KEEP acting like Mayweather is not the best at 36 years old both guys was getting beat up but not Mayweather he's still #1 P4P.
What does Hearn's chin have to do with Mayweather...Floyd is no KO artist? Floyd would lose to Hearns 10 out of 10 times...Hearns´ long jab...straight right are both better than Floyd's version...FAR MORE DEADLIER...he could KO you going foward and moving backward...as soon as Tommy gained a lead off the jab it would force Floyd to come forward...and Mayweather is no Sugar Ray...or Hagler to where he could walk through Tommy and stop him...watch this video and you tell me what Floyd, a defence first fighter would have done with this monster? Keep in mind Tommy would KO: Juan Manuel Marquez, Robert Guerrero, Cotto and Canelo all within 6...Shane in the 9th...Oscar survives...Judah in the 7th.

Hearns had no Khan chin. It was good. Look at his KOs losses. First, at 147, he got stopped in the 14th round against Leonard in a fight he was winning. He was exhausted. Next KO he got KOd by a god damn monster in Hagler at 160 in a war. No shame there. Some years later he was KOd by a hard hitting Iran Barkley but Hearns was past his best days by then.

2-0-Sixx @2-0-Sixx The statement I made about the ropes is the judges and how they might see the fight, not about Floyd holding the ropes before he gets KO'd cuz that never happened I think in his career. How you and I see a fight is not the way they see a fight nor what is asked from them when their bosses tell them this is what to look for. I said I disagreed with the judges too, but I'm also saying that maybe they wanted to see more out of floyd.

Im going to say it one more time the old legends had same day weigh-in which means they didnt blow two weight divisions after the weigh-in. You put Mayweather inside a boxing ring against some his own size and im betting on Mayweather to make adjustments and win the fight period. Duran, Hearns, or Sugar Ray was never in the ring with a beast like Mayweather. A guy that will take away you best weapons and force you to find another way to win. I have never seen someone make A fighters look like bums. Mayweather is on another boxing planet his offense, defense, and thinking in the ring is the sweet sceince we call boxing.

FYI, why am I hearing people talking about Hopkins vs. Mayweather at 160lb. Im hearing the chatter.

I'd have to pick Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns over Floyd. SRL's speed and combinations would give Floyd some trouble. Hearns long jabs and right hands would also give Floyd trouble.

But I'd take Floyd over Hagler and Duran.

you can't make excuses for Canelo and his weight issue cuz he accepted the fight therefore Floyd fans are right on this whole cashcow talk with Floyd. Canelo really didn't need to fight Floyd cuz the tide was turning and it could have looked like Floyd was on the verge of ducking canelo, but canelo took the money and bad advice fron GBP, not his management. But to say Floyd is the best ever in any era is BS! He retired from 2007-2009 and a shit load of welterweights were in there primes and he waited for them to beat eachother up then he fought them. Noway would Mosley or cotto lose to Floyd within that time frame. He would have fought margarito and manny too! And if he fought in the old school eras, he would have been worn out with prime fighters after 30-0.

Lmao at saying they never fought a "beast" like Floyd when they all fought each other - Hagler, Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Benitez.

The best fighter Floyd ever fought was Castillo who doesn't come close to those five guys. Such a clown bigface.
Coming from a guy that three years ago said Mayweather was ducking Manny after Manny refused to be randomly testing. Lol..

Or are you the same guy that said Mayweather was ducking Cotto until you know Mayweather fought and beat him.

Or are you the same guy talking about Mayweather was scared of Mosley, until Mosley got beat up and then he was old.

You name all those old ass fighters like Mayweather ain't beat a list of P4P rated fighter and hall of famers Mayweather is 4 division lineal champion 130,135,147, and now 154lb. He has beat 19 champions when they were champions.

Genaro Hernandez Lineal 130 champion only lost to Oscar at 135lb. HOF
Corrales undefeated 130 champion P4P top 10 HOFer
Castillo Lineal 135lb champion P4P top 10
Gatti # 1 at 140lb WBC champion (Tszyu was the Lineal champ and Hatton beat him)

Oscar 154lb WBC champion Future HOFer
Ricky Hatton lineal 140lb champion and 147lb champion undefeated P4P top 10 future HOFer
Marquez 135lb champion #2 P4P fought coming off a 20 month lay-off future HOFer
