floyd could be raping czar and bigface's mothers in the ass right in front of them and they'd come up with some reason why it was ok and how their mom deserved it.
1st off read what I write dumb ass, I have stated over and over again Manny should get a 50/50 split of the PPV. Secondly don't every talk about my mother again you BITCH MADE FAG..

"Absolutely not. I'm not giving up the split, I can't afford to"

"With or without Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather is ok. Floyd Mayweather fights for Floyd Mayweather.. At the end of the day, Floyd Maywearther has to be happy, because when your career is over, when everything is said and done, I have to be happy and I have to be comfortable."

"Now look at the Ali situation. When Ali can trade it all in... once again, when fans and the people were pushing him to get into the fights that he shouldn't have even been involved with... so guess what, they pushed him. They wanted to see what they wanted, and that's not what Ali wanted. If Ali can trade it in right now, for his health, he would."

"....I'm in the game to win, not just in the ring, but outside the ring, and my health is more important than everything."

Floyd contradicts himself every fuckin time he speaks.

First it's fighting for the fans and giving them whatever they want to see and the next minute he's fighting for Floyd Mayweather and then two days later he's fighting for the fans again.

J @jabking , according to you Manny should get a 50/50 split, but Floyd is saying no, who is holding up the fight right now? We aren't talking about who held up the fight from 2009 to 2011. We are talking right now, who is holding up the fight?

when floyd is talking about Ali and his health and how that was a result of fans pushing him into fights (not true at all) that kinda hints at something else altogether imo.
To me it hints that he is a word smith and doesn't want the fight. What do you think it means?

With any sport there is a risk of injury and with contact sports the risk is magnified. At any time a person can end up like Gerald Mcclellan or even worse which is why I respect these guys for what they are doing. However, they know that trouble comes with the territory and with Floyd, because he doesn't take a lot of damage, it's hard to compare him to Ali as Ali got hit harder, fought longer fights (15 round fights), etc.

well bob costas was asking him specifically about a potential pacquiao fight when floyd brought that up. I can't see any reason for a guy like floyd to start talking about his health and ali unless he just doesn't want to take risks anymore and doesn't want to be hit. The drug tests, the money and now worrying about his health I honestly think he just doesn't want the risk of being hit because he will against Pac win or lose.

yep. Floyd said everything there is to say, the fight will never happen. So I'm done with it now (at least till next time). Plus I also have a feeling he may stay at 154 after he beats Cotto (to fight Canelo).
Comrade, I don't know but something doesn't seem right about this Cotto fight. Some people are thinking Floyd is just going to walk all over him but I don't see that. I don't know, just something seems off and I wouldn't be shocked if Cotto actually got the job done.

maybe, but I doubt it. Perhaps floyd could have a few shaky moments early if he's overlooking cotto, but the one thing that is truly great about floyd is his ability to adapt in a fight. the other thing is cotto doesn't really apply pressure like he used to. He'll apply a little then back off and box. I don't like that against Floyd, I think for cotto and the tools he has (and doesn't), for him to win it would take 12 rounds of nonstop pressure. Cotto lost some of that aggressiveness somewhere along the lines I think. If he's trying to box at mid range I just see floyd picking him apart.

Actually Pac has held it up for a while and most of that time when he wouldnt agree to the dryg testing for a very long time. I still havnt heard from him or in concrete that he even agreed to this day. Not saying he didnt but just a thought. Regardless they are both playing a part in this along with Arum. To me Arum needs to go and I actually think Floyd and Manny could actually work it out if u ask me. Got Em!!

You quoted me but you still don't get it. I'll bold it so you understand:

We aren't talking about who held up the fight from 2009 to 2011. We are talking right now, who is holding up the fight?

Not one person is saying that Manny isn't agreeing to drug testing. Floyd isn't saying "take the test." Floyd is saying "take this $40 million" which translates to: "You've been pimped by Arum and I'm going to pimp you to but at least you'll be a better paid hoe."

So once again who is holding up the fight now? Bigface already said he thinks it should be 50/50 so forget about 2009-2001. We are talking NOW, who is holding up the fight NOW?

Pac would be pimped even more if he took that deal from floyd cuz he'd still have to pay top rank he's under contract. Plus his guarantee to fight floyd by top rank was more than that, his absolute minimum was a $50 million guarantee that's why floyd's offer made no sense.

Actually if Manny just took the 40 mill then we would get the fight. So who is holding up the fight? Manny wants to fight back now about the money but lets Arum pimp him for years? Cmon now. Got Em!!

how can you be so dumb? seriously bro.

Top Rank's minimum guarantee to Pacquiao to fight Floyd is $50 million dollars (plus PPV revenue). Why would he take $10 million less with 0% of the PPV split? How seriously dumb are you man? How is it this hard for you to figure out?

Why wouldn't Floyd accept a $50 million guarantee with 55/45 split of the PPV going to the winner? How is that not fair? Only a complete floyd groupie or someone who has absolutely no knowledge of how boxing works would support floyd in this situation. You have a fight that will generate over $150 million dollars in PPV alone and Pac is supposed to take a flat fee of $40 million? Are you retarded or a groupie?

I thought cotto would be the bigger man on may 5th, but the pics say otherwise! i think this fight is going to be a little more competitive than most are expecting! Side note: Why is the Bradley v Manny thread so silent?

Cotto is pretty small for jr middleweight so size isn't a factor.

Most of this thread is about floyd vs pac, so we should get back on the track. I think pac vs bradley is the more competitive fight but cotto is a much bigger name is it should sell more.
