Flair has done it all and that's respected.

Hart.. he got screwed and tossed aside...

I dont know bout flair, but Hart bloodline goes back to Catch wrestling (submission wrestling). So in real life, think Bret can take Flair.

in my eyes, both legends.

At least when you watch a Bret Hart match, you didn't see the same 3 moves repeated over and over in the same order in which you saw them in his last match.

Damn surprised to see how many people didnt like Brett. I always loved him especially when he became a heel again in WWE when they reformed the Hart Foundation
hell yeah that was the wwf at it's best cause bret ran like hell with his heel role and he's one of the best in ring preformers around rick needs to get off is high horse cause the way he treated ring of honor was fuck up

Flair is a LEGEND. He has been through all of wrestling's phases....he was big in NWA, WCW, and briefly in WWF.

Bret Hart will always be one of my favorites but his career at the top was only under 10 years long and in one federation....as ECOSE said he was good in the ring but he wasn't very good on the mic, Flair had it all...

I grew up watching Bret Hart so that was my era but I have to disagree that he is superior.

these 2 always had hate for each other, I believe one or the other had already badmouthed em in their book, I think it was Flair.

and re-reading Flair's quote, he is right....how many TRUE wrestlers has Bret wrestled....yeah he wrestled some of the top names in the history of WWF but how many of those could actually match his skill?

Bret Hart shouldn't have ever jumped ship to WCW, shit killed his career

Bret was alright on the mic, i just think he spent too much time as a good guy when he was way better at playing the smug canadian heel role during his last year in the WWF

You are right. When I watched a Brett Hart match, I was asleep before 3 moves could even be executed. I would wake up when I heard the whiny guitar signifying Bret Hart had received another push.

Ric Flair was boring in his own right (in the ring), but at least his mic skills were good enough to make me actually give a rat's ass about the outcome of the match he was involved in because it promoted the "beef" between him and the guy he was wrestling.

All Brett Hart's technical wrestling shit was boring as fuck. I'd go watch an amatuer competition if I wanted to see that shit. At least at an amateur tournament the moves being executed wouldn't be staged.

Bottom line: technical wrestling makes for boring matches in professional wrestling. Brett Hart is the epitome of boring.

You know wrestling is fake, right?
I know that both come from an era where they kept the "secret of wrestling" to those in the business, but at that time, we all knew it was fake.

I know that Bret is part of a great Catch Wrestling family. But I am unfamiliar with Rick Flair (not sayin he never was a catch wrestler).. I say that with caution bekuz Flair was part of a time when Wrestling was about wrestling moves... and even his finisher is a leg lock.. Not a Leg drop (Hogan) or a side kick(HBK) or a choke slam (any tall wrestler).

In my mind Bret was better than Flair..

Wrestling wise, it's not even close... Its hard to compare the people they wrestled since Flair wrestled in the NWA in the 80s and Bret was always loyal to the WWF in his career until they let him go.

But as far as classic matches go, i think Bret has had more that go down as classics than Flair.
