During an appearance on the Live Audio Wrestling radio show in Canada, Ric Flair sounded off on fellow WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, saying:

“He is a pissant in the history of wrestling. He has the nerve to compare himself to me. Let’s get realistic. If you put Bret Hart in your left hand and me in your right hand, compare the career…who is he? I wrestled everybody in the business, for an hour each night. Harley Race, Dory Funk, Jack and Jerry Brisco, who is Bret Hart? He is a legend in his own mind. He lives in his own little world…he screws his own family around. Who is Bret Hart? In my world he is a nobody!”

The bad blood between the two apparently began in 2005 when Bret referred to Flair as “the most overrated guy in the history of the business.”

...this guy cries about how Eric Bischoff said the same thing to him about how hes not a "legend " or whatever and makes a big deal about it and does the same thing about Bret. Hart >>Flair

Damn surprised to see how many people didnt like Brett. I always loved him especially when he became a heel again in WWE when they reformed the Hart Foundation

There was a wrestling reporter who recently wrote " X is the greatest match ever, and if anybody says otherwise, they are wrong" And then I thought, boy I guess I better watch that match and agree, or I would be wrong.

Since I was a little kid, I've always respected what Bret Hart has done for the sport. IMO one of the few wrestlers to actually live up to the word "wrestler". The compassion that he has for the sport, his emotions on stage and offstage, stage presence, learning techniques, and skill made him one of the best. The match with him vs stone cold will always be a classic.

Bret Hart is one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time arguably the best, he wasn't as entertaining as Ric Flair in his prime though.

Maybe Flair is still sore that Bret won his first WWF championship off him as a fill in and dropped the belt in Canada
