has anybody in here ever feed raw meat to their pitbull ?

I recently got a pitbull puppy and heard they need raw meat as part of their diet for extra protein to help them get bigger and build muscles, some people have told me not feed it raw meat and others say its okay to feed it to them.

You can feed them raw meat but I have heard the taste of blood will eventually make them cat off down the road, I don't believe it though. I would wait until it is older for all that. Buy kirkland dog food at costco, it is some good stuff.

right now I'm feeding it Blue Buffalo dog food, its supposed to be one of the best and it ain't cheap. he's been growing big ever since I started feeding it to him.
My pit is 100+ pounds and thick as fuck. When I started feeding him the costco food I noticed the difference for sure. Actually someone on here put me up on it. The kirkland dog food is cheap but rated up there with those expensive bags.

depends on how you want to raise the pit. But once they get that taste of blood , its a done deal.
false!

id keep feeding your dog the food its been eating for atleast a year. Blue Buffalo is a good brand and has all the nutrition a pup need.
raw diets are good but not for everybody ..A raw diet provides a range of benefits that commercial dog diets can never hope to even closely match. i'll post some links as well. wheres a pic of this lil guy?

These benefits include:

no doggy odour
naturally cleans teeth - no need for toothbrushes, de-scaling jobs, or gum disease
the time it takes for a dog to chew a raw meaty bones give their stomach adequate time to get the acids moving
much less stools produced - and they are firm, and turn chalky after a couple of days
decreased or non-existant vet bills (your dogs are healthier!)
less cost for dog food - commercial dog foods are ludicriously expensive
mirrors what a dog would be getting in the wild - and certainly even the modern day dog has a digestive tract exactly the same as a wolf
puppies develop at a more appropriate rate - and quick growth spurts are avoided. A GOOD breeder will want to stop fast growth in any pup.
the ripping and chewing involved in eating raw meaty bones develops the jaw, neck, and shoulder muscles of the dog. Commercial dog foods will never assist in this important muscle development.

i wouldnt call my self an expert. dogs and pits especially, is one of the things im into. ive heard both things as well but none from a breeder. but a raw diet will not make a dog blood thirsty. thats just one of many myths about this breed.. what bloodline did you breed slient?
