i gotta go to sleep. finally got to the strip, havent gone in yet. you have to pay 2000 caps to get in, or you can find a guy to get a passport from which cost me 500, wanted to level up a few times before i go onto the strip. im at level 12 right now, running some jobs for people in Freeside to get cash and xp. games good so far
I'm about where you are, just barely got to the strip and into a casino. There's a robot in one of them that gives you about 6 quests during one conversation. Then I walk out of the casino and get a quest from Caesar's Legion and another from the NCR. One thing I really like about this game is the amount of quests you can do. I have maybe 10 or 11 quests that I haven't finished yet plus all the other side quests I've already completed. A lot to do in this game.

Anyone experience any game wrecking glitches?
My game froze after I played for about 8 hours straight. But this glitch is pretty interesting... It seems to be a PC-only glitch, by the way.

And patches are coming:

Fallout: New Vegas has a bug or two. There are crash bugs, animation bugs, scripting bugs, and even bugs that make dogs moonwalk. But while the game has issues, it's important to note that it's still a really good game. It's just, you know, buggy and will often test your ability to ignore flaw.

This will change with time. Speaking with us this morning, Bethesda PR man Pete Hines confirmed that Bethesda is working on patches and updates for all three versions of the game. Specific announcements about these patches are coming, too.

"We are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms," Hines said via e-mail. "Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming."

yeah i fucked up and killed a ranger at one of the stations and looted the place then i couldnt finish the mission where you have to bring the new radio signals to all the different stations (alpha bravo, etc) so i cant finish that mission. I just got the Van Graff Combat Armor for doing a mission for the family that runs the Silver Rush inside Freeside. Im trying to knock out alot of side missions and get my stats up before i go too far in the main storyline

also i cant for the life of me figure out where this electronics store is that supposedly has a back enterance to go in, where i can find this "sexbot" to recruit to the casino in freeside. i got the other two people to go work there as whores but cant find this sexbot, no marty

Bought this shit last night and put a solid four hours into it and still haven't even left goodsprings. This game is dope if not more of the same.

Btw I went for the wild west trait. I heard that it increases the randomness of the wasteland and let's u get the alien blaster. Fuck ya.

Have you done that quest for the doctor at the Mormon Fort where you have to talk to her friend in the NCR who's giving out food to the locals? If you keep going past that NCR building and then turn to the left you'll find the building with the sexbot. But you gotta get a holotape from the guy at Mick & Ralph's and upload it before you can recruit it.

I was worried but I couldn't resist playin more fallout. So far the only hicups I've noticed are graphical (framerate drop, floating coyote, etc.) But its nothing that I haven't seen a hundred times before in fallout 3 and I still enjoyed the shit outta that game. The only glitches that are unacceptable to me are broken quest lines. I remember when I downloaded The Pitt for fallout 3 and played for like 6 hours and got to the end and the dude i had to talk to to finish the quest starts looping the same sentence over and over so I had to reload a previous save and lost all my progress. I was so pissed at bethesda. But so far nothing like that has happened with new vegas that I've seen or heard (* crosses fingers*)
