Thanks D-Sane. It a another dope album, the old good Street Level sound: dark and super clean production + perfect chorus. It s not as good as the 2 first FTS but its HARD. Best work I heard this year by far.
my fav tracks are :
1) No limitations
2) Red light
3) Stay in your shoes
4) Tell it like it is.

I think this is the best F.T.S. album. The production is better than the 1st two, the only thing missing is more group tracks and maybe Byrdie in there, but obviously Byrdie's gone and most of them were recorded for solo albums, so it's understandable.

My favorites:
The Intro (D-Sane, master of the Intro, everybody knows that by now), this beat is absolutely creepy, great work on the boards with this one.
No Slack (Brazy's lyrics to open this song up are really good, I am probably the only one who think's that verse is better than Cola's but they're both tight, so who cares)
No Limitations (nice little guitar-like sound in the chorus, kind of sounds Bay Areaish in a good way)
Thug Thoughts (really really clean beat, J-Dub does a better job of pacing himself, timing his spits than he usually does, and it really shows in this song)
The World We Live In (really reminds me of the old F.T.S. stuff)

The only reason a few of them sounded good in the first place was cause of the beats they were provided with. Especially on Money Motivated...since more people were on that album...It's been the story most of the time, the beats are tight but the raps aren't always that good. I think that BD, MD, J-Dub, Byrdie, and....that's about it, came tight with the majority of their stuff...Brazy, Smoke, and Drama were usually hit or miss, with me at least...

I gotta agree with Sixxness about the fact that what made a lot of the FTS artists tight was the beats they were ridin'. That's what made those albums so fuckin' bangin'. Several of the artists were just average but they were spittin' over some of the hottest shit ever created........

After soakin' this audio for a day, I gotta say that this material is fuckin' bangin'. I just listened to "Thug Thoughts" about 5 times in a row. That beat is fuckin' sick, and J ripped that shit hard.

EDIT: I really wish J-Dub would have dropped a solo back in the day, because in my opinion he really shined on these songs......

Funny you should mention that. There actually was (I should say IS) a 3rd verse for that song from BD. I took it off though because it didn't turn out that great and he was also dissin' Smoke Dog on the verse and I thought it was completely disrespectful.

These guys used to talk shit about each other on songs all the time...shit was fuckin' corny if you ask me. Who knows how many songs they were probably talkin' about me on? lol

All the tracks have that classic FTS sound. My top 3 favorite songs in order are No Slack, Now, and Stay In Your Shoes. I haven't seen anyone mention Now, I guess they aren't feeling BD as much as I was. I love the beat and the chorus and Julian has a good verse on there.

^^This is anti-BD area....I thought it was better than most of the songs.

After listening to it for a few days...My favorites are....Now, No Slack (because of COLA), Mobbed Up, and Tell It Like It Is...I had already heard Only 4 Some Loot, but that song is tight as well...

And about those guys dissin each other on track...Just listen to IK some more...I guess people would have to know what to listen for, but there's quite a few things said about people on that and I think Money Motivated as well. Shit is immature though, cause people are supposed to be homies...then again, maybe that's why FTS isn't together anymore..

I noticed J-Dub sayin "206 ways" in one of the songs as well....I can't remember which one now though...Recycled phrases seem to be popular...

EDIT: It was on Tell It Like It Is....
