(Puts on the MDR 7506's)

(Turns the volume way up)

Alright, my thoughts...

1. 11 O'Clock News (Intro) Produced by D-Sane

The creative work you put into the intro is great and it shows. I think your best intro was the Much Love intro on MM. It's all about perfection with you and it's great to hear that perfection thoroughly in the music. Anyways the beat on this intro has a solid build up to it, it never stops building up. I'm feeling the sounds at the beginning, very crisp and the audio from the news report is descriptive.

2. My Click (Smoke Dog) Produced by D-Sane

Solid for the premier track. Gets you amped up and ready for what is to come. Smoke Dogg comes hard on this over the D-Sane sizzle. No complaints here.

3. Tell it Like it Is (Madd Dogg, Drama & J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

Fast paced beat. Madd Dogg is sick as fuck. Always had the most polished style IMO. Always raised the bar. Madd Dogg & Drama are on it, verses hit hard, signature J-Dub chorus, and the beat slaps what else could you ask for? This track sets the album off at the right pace.

4. Mob Cutz Muzik (OG version) (BD & Brazy-J) Produced by D-Sane

I love when the beat kicks in with those sounds. BD comes powerful on the vocals. Solid early track, carries the energy from Track 3.

5. Mobbed Up (J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

First of all this beat is filthy. D-Sane brings in the super slump bass here. Lyrics sound vivid probably from the Sampler. J-Dub comes solid on this solo joint.

6. No Slack (Brazy-J, J-Dub & C.O.L.A.) Produced by SYKO

I remember this from the Sampler. This beat slumps and C.O.L.A. is a fucking genius. Brazy-J rips the fuck out of the first verse. J-Dub comes through with another signature chorus and verse. I'm really feeling this track, it's definitely one of my top picks even though I haven't yet gone through the entire album. This track is that solid.

7. Red Light (Smoke Dog & J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

Have to light some NW bomb up to this one. I love that one synth sound you got flowing in and out of the beat, some of that D-Sane touch. Chorus is solid verses are clean, J-Dub came hard on this one. I'm really feeling this track a lot.

8. Only 4 Some Loot (BD, Brazy-J & J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

This brings me back to that Indepedent Kash/MM ish. Hard, dark track. Beat hits swift. Very very solid track.

9. No Limitations (J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

This beat kicks in real fast, I love the delay on the end of the vocals on those beginning lines, It always sounds dope when you do that delay effect on parts of the vocals, I love hearing that, displays your perfection. J-Dub never failed to come up short, his lyrics stand out on this joint. Motivating. Good visualization. Again this beat knocks.

10. Now (BD & Julian) Produced by SYKO

Bass line and keys alone on the intro slump. This beat is sick. One of BD's best tracks IMO. This Julian cat is dope. Bass slumps!

11. Thug Thoughts (J-Dub) Produced by SYKO & D-Sane

Feeling the keys. J-Dub is sharp on this. Another solid solo joint.

12. 44 Deep (Smoke Dog) Produced by D-Sane

This is a hard joint. Bass is different than normal, beat slaps, I like it. Smoke comes solid.

13. The World We Live In (J-Dub) Produced by SYKO

I'm really feeling this beat, it's napalm. J-Dub by far came the most solid on this album. Strict verses. Bass is flawless.

14. Stay In Your Shoes (Brazy-J) Produced by D-Sane

This beat slaps. Hits hella hard and stays constant. Brazy-J was clearly aware of this and ripped the fuck out of it.

(Takes off headphones)

I don't think my overall thoughts/feelings on this album can be fully expressed right now because It's so early and I've only played it once. So my initial feeling after playing it for the first time is that it is The Final Chapter and it really sounds like it. The tracks are very solid. Mixing is flawless. Loud and crisp, the way it should be. J-Dub shines on this album, period. Extremely descriptive lyrics. That's the bottom line. I thought he truly represented this album to the fullest. The production is classic and will probably never be heard like this again. So I would like to thank you D-Sane for blessing us with this. I know it's going to take me awhile to truly soak it in, so I'm going to make sure it stays in my deck all summer. But from this initial listen it has perfection written all over it. Thanks again. I still can't believe this is free.

(Puts headphones back on)

Immediate 5 Favorites (In No Particular Order Because Every Track Stands Out):

13. The World We Live In (J-Dub) Produced by SYKO
3. Tell it Like it Is (Madd Dogg, Drama & J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane
6. No Slack (Brazy-J, J-Dub & C.O.L.A.) Produced by SYKO
7. Red Light (Smoke Dog & J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane
9. No Limitations (J-Dub) Produced by D-Sane

Best Verse: C.O.L.A.'s

Anyways this album has just made my day. Thanks again D-Sane.

10/10.

I'm feelin "Now" so far....The beat on that reminds me of all the shit from back in the day...Brings back the old days. I really wish my fucking burner words now..."No Slack" is tight too, COLA ate them up on that track tho...[/B]..."Only 4 Some Loot" has been the cut for years tho....And is that the original Mobcutzmusik beat? I thought there was a different one?

Thanks for the tracks.

I just listened to the intro, and I have to say, I think this is the best one (intro) I've heard so far. This almost makes me wish this album was pressed and all that shit...There's a lot of good songs, kinda surprising that this shit is still killin 97% of the new shit...I almost wanna say that this era was classic, just cause of the FTS shit that came out-cause the songs are put together better than most, and the beats are still somethin else 8 years later.

EDIT: Is the chorus for Red Light the same as the one on I'm Still High, or where the hell is it from? I can't place it right now...

Thanks for the review Samos...I appreciate you takin' the time to do that.

That intro is actually from an incident that 2 members of the crew were involved in...they will remain nameless at this point. I actually knew everybody involved though...the shooters and "the intended victim."

The "Redlight" chorus is one of Smoke's lines from the "I'm Still High" song from Money Motivated.

I changed the "Mob Cutz Muzik" beat a couple years ago because Skunt made the original and he didn't want BD rappin' over his beat.

And the COLA verse was recorded in 2003 if I remember correctly. He loved that song and it needed a verse so I let him get on it. As you can see he got on there and gassed Brazy & J-Dub IMO.

OH! And I let Smoke Dog kick off the album with "My Click" because he's the one who came up with the name of the group and has always repped it hard.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Seattle Police phone call...that's a real phone call.

What's with that phone call from the PD about the CD cover?

EDIT: LOL, you just edited your post and mentioned this too....
