ive just learned that i cant personally speak on the subject...i didnt grow up needing a family, i wasnt angry socially, i wasnt on the streets every night and i didnt feel like i had to protect myself...i can say that i went through a gang phase, but i was the squarest cat out there...i wore blue and tried to throw up shit and stare people down, but i was 14 and i eventually got checked when i needed to be.


like i said, gangmembers dont need to explain to me why theyre in it cuz i cant understand and probably never will. there are certain things i dislike about them, but thats them and it doesnt affect me. if i can make fun of gangmembers, i feel like people can make fun of me people not in them for other shit that's stupid to thnem.

I understand all that shit, I was a little wanna be gangster for a short period in my teens too, I just wasn't into wearing colors or nothing, it was more of just backing up my friends when they were in trouble and vice versa. We didn't run around and say we were in a gang or any of that shit but basically it was the same kind of deal. I wasn't out trying to shoot no one or nothing but I was always down for a quick way to make some money. I grew out of that shit though and I try to live a legit life cuz i know that shit comes back to you. I don't wanna have to go to jail anymore or have to deal with the getback of someone i ripped off etc. Alot of people I knew as a kid never grew out of it though and still go to jail all the time and are big time druggies now, fuck that bullshit.

Ever since the music videos started glorifying that gangster lifestyle, seems like more and more kids wanna be thugs. My little brother is 10 and he is like a little wannabe crip!, I clowned him hella bad cuz I know hes just trying to be cool and fit in with his little Tongan friends. Kids look up to these people on TV who make that life look like its the thing to do, I tried to deny it for the longest but the shit is true. Look at all the little white teenieboppers who got hold of like a Northern Exposure compilation and now they think they are Nortenos, its ridiculous but kids are hella impressionable and do anything their favorte rapper says is cool.
