since no one gave you advice ill tell you what i told all my homies who got a DUI
you have to show the courts the you are repentful about what you did
start goin to AA meetings before they asign them to you so when you go to court you can show them that you have been doin something to better yourself
if this is your first offense on drinking related charges and you only blew a .08 and your over 21 then depending on your judge and county they might reduce it to a wet and reckless
did they say how fast you were goin?
if it was just barely over the speed limit and you werent swerving then you got a better chance of gettin it reduced
if you have a job that requires you to drive your chances are also better of gettin a provisional license
chill for now dont do anything too crazy because any attention is unwanted attention at this point
hope things work out DUI is no joke that will fuck you up for 10 years and the fines are brutal

Go with the Public defender, if you have a fairly clear criminal record go for a defferred judgement plea. I didnt have to pay the DUI ticket and the charges were dropped to a failure to obey to a traffic signal. I blew a .09 and got pulled over for not coming to a complete stop before making a right on red.

my record is clear except for speeding tickets but i hadnt gone one of those in over 2 years. i wasnt actually speeding and i got a witness in the car to verify. cop said i was doing 40 in 25 which is bullshit. he also cited me for no registration card; when i fucking handed it to him. dude was an asshole.
and yeah me and the passenger are over 21
i read about a wet n reckless and i need my shit to be reduced below that. insurance companies treat it as the same thing.

do you have a clean record? if you do and its your first offense, you should be cool. you blew a .08 and you gave blood. No reason to hire a lawyer when your already guilty. Judges want to be in and out with these type of cases. They got worse shit to deal with and if you bring a lawyer in trying to fight something your already guilty of, its just going to piss off the judge for wasting his time and give you a harsher sentence. Just go to your court date, represent yourself and say your guilty, accept the fine and DUI classes and get out. Its your first offense so your L's are going to be suspended for 4 months. Get a restricted license after that just to drive to your DUI classes and work. If you wanna go out, have your homies pick u up.
Get a good lawyer and he can proly make it go away if you have a clean record. I don't know how it is where you are, but here in MO you got the criminal case and the DL side of it.

The deal out there is basically like if you win the probable cause part of your tickets then they had no right to pull you over, hence no case. That's how I beat my criminal case. The DL part is gonna be on your lawyer...he got it so I only lost my DL for 30 days.

breathalizers are not 100 percent accurate and if you get a public defender he will argue that for sure

^^^ i blew .08 at the station on the station breathalyzer... yeah he did other tests and i fucked up on the dumbest one like an idiot... i tried to say the abcs fast and wasnt thinkin about it. i was hella nervous and messed up... i passed everything else tho.. walking... nose touching... 30 second head back while estimating the time
