Rodgers reacts: Former Cal quarterback and Chico native Aaron Rodgers didn't enjoy sinking to the 24th overall selection in the NFL Draft and voiced his displeasure on ESPN Radio. "I heard where Mike Nolan said he could tell by looking in Alex Smith's eyes that he was their guy," Rodgers said, "and I'm wondering what did they not see out of my eyes or what did they not see in me?
"Twenty-three teams passed on me, and when my time comes to play, I'm going to show those teams they made a mistake. And if we play the 49ers at their place, I'm going to make sure the entire city of Chico comes down there to watch us beat them."
