MrFedEx....no disrespect but you know Baron Davis deserves to be an allstar over your boy Roy, they have a better team record and his personal stats are bette in every major category....nutting against Roy its just more proof that all the professional leagues hate the bay area

Yo the flo-rida and brisco version is poppin in the south. I went to Tallahassee and MIA and the song was all over the radio and in the clubs. The first time I heard it in the club I was juiced, I thought that it was clyde's version and then some nigga with this fast ass flow started rappin. I was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Similar thing happened to Jin on his first album with Ruff Ryders/Virgin. He did a track on his album with Kanye and Rocafella wouldn't give the rights to release it as a single. That was supposed to be his second single after Learn Chinese. That song with Kanye would have been a hit. Instead his shit flopped. Label politics.

he didn't jock Clyde's song, he got the song, prolly just like Clyde did, with the beat and hook already on it, and just laid his own verses in it when they weren't gonna let Clyde use it, or like dude said earlier, Atlantic may have had it even before Clyde did but didn't move on it

songs these days are basically just templates or patterns, beats go out to hella labels and artists and managers just like RJ said, and songs with Verses go out, hooks go out, look how many people had Akon and T-Pain supposedly on their albums this year, cuz hella hooks are just floatin around, unless you actually go in and record with someone live in person, u run the risk of your shit ending up somewhere else unless you file your papers and make sure that shit is official

I ain't really like the song like that anyway....That's just real "bootsie" how like five people can have the same song and hook in rotation on the radio and the one who got the most payola money available gets the credit...

and i agreee once again, songs sound alot better if they are spit to a original beat

Then who has the rights???
As far as I know Capitol has the rights. I mentioned on here that I do A&R for JR a couple days ago. (AutoMattik's brother, we share the same username for some reason siccness wouldn't allow me to get an account.) The last time anything was brought up about it was months back. Capitol paid for the track, it'll be on Clyde's album, its not like Capitol demanded their money back, this is how the business works. Like the other dude said on here, there's tpain and akon hooks floating around everywhere, its all up for grabs until the contract gets signed and the money gets deposited.

Anyways, It's been on Flo's myspace page since like July lol, before he blew up and anyone knew about him. They both ripped the track...

There's rappers all over myspace that use industry beats for mixtapes...anyone can steal anyones beat, but having the legal right to make money off of it is a whole different story. If someone stole a beat and put it on their album that shit would be straight up unethical and end up in a lawsuit. (mixtapes are "ok" unless you fuck around and sell 100,00 of em, then someone will definitely take notice)
