I remember the first rap cd I ever bought waz 2Low's cd Funky Lil Brotha. I bought it in early 1994 when I waz a sophmore in HS.

Almost 300 cd's later & I still got it & Itz still in pretty good condition. Before I ever bought a cd I owned tonz of tapez & some recordz too. My brother way back then told me 2 get rid of them cuz pretty soon everything iz gonna be on cd & tapez are gonna be gone 4 good. He waz right too.

Does anyone else still got the first cd they ever bought or even remembers the first one?

i started with tapes as well, my first was run dmc raising hell in 86, then cool j bigger and deffer (87) then schoolly-d saturday night (87) then p.e. nation of millions (88) and my last tape was ultramagnetic critical beatdown (88), i then switched to buying vinyl for years until 92 and the first cd i ever bought was redman whutt thee album because i couldnt find the wax, and was dieng to hear it being a big EPMD fan. its took me until this year to finally sell all my records and just deal with cds. i download shit to see whats hot but mp3s sound like shit in the whip, i got a system in there that will tear your face off

no lie, first anything i ever bought was Skee-Lo's "i wish" cassette single...."i wish i was a little bit taller, i wish i was a baller, i wish i had a girl something something then i would call her..." thats how it goes....i blame the radio so take it easy, i was young....forgot to say i still got it...

A homie u old school just like me. LOL!!! I seen the Raising Hell on Cd the other day ago @ Tower 4 like 3 dollarz & some change. I got a masterpeice 4 cheap. LOL!!

i started with vinyl(85-86)...malcom mclaren & the world famous supreme team show..and the 12 inch single ''crazy cuts'' by grandmaster d.s.t...cant remember my first hip hop c.d. though.

The Blac Monks!! I use 2 own that cd too. Bought it @ Circuit City in the summer of 94. About 80 of my cd's got fucked off in storage(thanx to momz) & that waz one of'em. Secrets Of The Hidden Temple waz cool. The Blac Monk intro, Zillion Ways To Die & Death Before Dishonor waz my shit. Rap A Lot got an online store now so I'm gonna be getting all the old school shit I lost. Out of 80 something cd's I did lose atleast 30 of'em were RAL cd's.

I had Crushin on tape. Shit had that commercial jam Wipeout on it, and also had some cool jams too, like My Nuts.

Anyways, I started with LP's and tapes, too. First one I bought was the Nucleus tape with Jam On It, and some hip hop compilation that had Rappin Duke on it.

First cd I ever bought was Cube - Amerikkas Most Wanted. Took that shit home and my jaw dropped. One of my most memorable moments with music, period.

I think the first tape i bought was Fugees - The Score in 1996, then Coolio - Gangstas Paradise and 2Pac - All Eyez On Me, I think the first CD i bought was 2Pac - Me Against The World. I still have all of them.

This was my first rapalbum i bought too and this was in 95´
was goin´ on theaters back then :cheeky:
i didnt start listenin rap at this point, this was the only rap cd i got.
Now i remember that my homie used to have that Snoop Doggy Dogg- Doggystyle, that was first raprecords i heard i guess.
