i like being in the top half/quarter of the most powerful nation that has ever existed. i have known no other way of life. ive traveled to places where people cant even afford to leave their town their entire life. but this nation is on a decline and maybe (big maybe) i will raise my kids in another country (olympics...ahem) so they can have the same feeling i did growing up, the feeling of not thinking, but knowing that "my country runs this shit"

Who said that? I didnt see anywhere where someone was actually saying it was OK. I think what people are saying is that the US was not the FIRST to have slaves. However, I do feel the African slaves got it the worst. But, I was not around for ANY slavery so I would not technically know.
