If im not mistaken, Dubcnn.com or whatever the fuck doesn't have a board...and they do just fine. Dutch's West coast rap site has no board either...and he does his thing.

There are thousands of places like THIS (site + forum), like AVS.com which has about 10 times the users we do. However, they actually have a PAY option which makes you a GOLD member. Others, like myself, post for FREE and are at the MERCY of the mods. They have SEVERAL ads and sponsors much more so than this place does. Everyone over there understands HOW it works, yet folks over here cant seem to grasp the idea.

ESPN.com has about 100x the users AVS has, and guess what? We post for free. They can do whatever the fuck it is they want, becuase when you are a squatter, you get no rights. Period. Its a PRIVILEGE to post there. You dont like it? Leave. Thats their attitude and it even says it in their disclosure form when you sign up, regarding the rules and policies.

Anyways, this is all over and done with. So i digress.

man but this aint ESPN.com, lol its the siccness! and yes theres dubcnn but they update their site and homepage ALL the time, siccness has the same interview on the front page for months at a time, the forums are the bread and butter of this site.

The characters and i truly mean CHARACTERS on this site are what make it so good! yeah there are others but the ones we have are great. i can always count on you to never back down on a argument, i can always count on Fubu mane to say the funniest random shit on earth, i can count on Gas to post up a crazy ass story of his you can count on me to talk about my crazy massage parlor adventures. its like a good tv show u dont wanna see canceled, yes there are other shows, but u love watching this ons! and the cool thing about this show is that it talks back! So yeah its free, but u cant expect anyone to be happy about the fact there favorite show is being cancelled without explanation.

Its really not a senseless argument because many ppl were posting sum dum ass shit and saying they were gonna quit the site without even knowing the damn facts. Honestly, when I saw that the props were gone and that the LMTWLTE thread was deleted, the very first thing that came to my mind was that there was a bandwidth issue. Not once did I ever think that the mods were trying to fuck over the users for no good reason. This is why I kept my mouth shut. Then again, maybe it's because I understand how servers, bandwidth, etc. works; how more traffic = higher costs, and the noticable lag that has plagued these forums. I even explained in one thread how the props button at least reloads part of the thread every time you hit it. I didn't think that it was so incomprehensible as to warrant going into different forums and fucking them up.

As for what the OP posted, I think that IFYM has a valid point (though I wouldn't have even brought it up because people simply don't comprehend these things), but I do think the users should have been given an explanation. Whether these forums are free or not; whether we need them more than they need us, or vice versa, the users should have been put on notice.

The focal point of this issue should be this: just about every single user who was involved in the "riots" was an active member of these forums before the props system and before the LMTWLTE.
