Do gangs belong in America?

Cops don't kill half the innocent people that gang members do.

I know people make their own decisions, but is this clear they're fault, or can you put blame on the government as well? There's parts of Stockton, where cops wouldn't enter, Boggz Tract, the MOBB.

"Gang member" has a negative connotation, just as gangs have a negative effect on society.

So are the NRA, but people like to brush it off as if it's nothing.

Both of these statements read more as condemnations of gangs and a reflection of my original post rather than an endorsement of whether gangs "belonging".

No point, really... I watched a documentary on gangs in the U.S. (on TLC or Discovery) and they were talking about all these interesting things the Vice Lords did in the '60's... Opened stores, Incorporated themselves... They made honest attempts to improve their own communites... You mentioned them by name and I just thought that was an interesting piece of their history...

I just wanted to know what your point was because, I didn't know where you were trying to get at. Exactly, like I said the introduction of Drugs, and "white" America ruined it. I still haven't added what I said I was going to add. It's long that's why.

You're right^^^... Yo, If you haven't peeped it already, Bastards of The Party (HBO) is an excellent flick about the history and development of Black gangs in L.A... It documents the flood of guns & drugs (where, when, why, and how) into the Black community... Cointelpro... The Panthers... Ron Karenga and the US organization... The Slausens (sp)... It's worth a watch...
