Man, that's so true... From the 5% to Nicky Barnes... They had their own street lore and swagger... To adopt the B and the C seems like a hugh step backwards...

..Yeah I like where Sau is at and I aint talkin so much him because he in my ears has reached a happy medium which is a sign of growth and maturity, and he has a good variety of different songs...Im speaking at the guys if you hit their myspace page you would never know they was from San Diego....I realize the importance of reaching bigger markets but if you can not have some type of influence that may be classified as San Diego...then you are just a carbon copy...I do not want to call out names..they know who they are...I was just saying We was talking about this and Im on the side of the argument of preserving what your own homies done layed it on the line for...that is if you claim a certain neighborhood..if not its all good...but sau was saying some of the big homies aint providing a good example and pointing the younger homies in the right direction...I got friends who recently been handing out beatings to those who aint been to recent meetings or put in work and still claiming...and if they do not know you and you aint get jumped in by a reputable then they got to do it all over.......These are tow opposite sides of the spectrum..and i feel there should be a middle ground on this as well..

you actin like theres only one sound that dago has,its basicly all on the lyrics or production, if someone says hes from dago then im guessin he is, but other then that you cant say that theres exactly one sound that classifies wether someone is from dago or not, you tellin me that if you didnt know about jayo felony and you heard his latest mixtape (too the nic) you would know where hes from? he used industry beats and if he aint say dago in his rhymes i would of never guessed hes from here but that dont mean hes not "classified" as sd

^^^ Aint it past your bedtime? hope you did your homework. L.O.L. You have to realize this....Most of what I said went right over your head, and i was not speaking of dago being one dimensional. So......let me tell ya.
1. My ear is pretty good.
2. You was not even born when Jayo , Big June Started Rappin
3. You may not realize dago albums in the past are even mixed down a lil different.
4. There have been plenty of rappers who have paved the way in dago in which fans outside of dago are feelin.... I was talking .....
5. Rappers who are thizzz this and Thizz that and hyphy.....but
6. Number 5 is alright in moderation and you add some of who you are.
7. If rule number 6 is not followed then basically fans of this style should just overlook dago and get the real Mc Coy
8. Get out the house a little more.....live life a little and learn.....if you do not hear that dago has a certain sound then maybe you are tone deaf.
9. I was not just talking about music.
.............Let me sum it all up.....................
Dago is rich in culture and even though it has always been overshadowed by other big cities, it continued to grow and hip hop is only 1 thing.....graffiti....breakin back in the day...gangbangin..club scenes..beaches..bitches...It would be foolish to say that anyone should have to follow 1 format, Im saying take a piece who you are and your style and mix a lil with the new....I dont care if it is mitchy slick...Irocc....Don diego...Big June...if they was rappin on all kanye west beats i would know they was from Dago..if not I would at least know Southern Cal.....
