Did I ride in a time machine 20 years into the past with no one saying anything?

One that part reason why...Hutch disapered in early 90s. Then Schwinn , GT and 2 of GT Sub Brands DYNO & Robison all went bankrupt and they sell cheap verison of these bikes now in Wal Mart , K mart , Toys R Us...ect! Even Diamond Back and Mongoose were frist go this route but I'm not sure if they went bankrupt.

Now since Haros , Redline , theres few more witch I can't think right now have no competion except for department store bikes. So they slacked on making good BMX bikes. Now they just sell there bikes slightly better than department store bikes for 300-500 dollars..

Thats why you see alot people buyin BMX Bikes from early 80s-1999/2000. In 01 alot people noticed how easy the frames , forks , rims/magz and goose necks break an snap that they just made weak BMX Bikes. So from 01 to now they make pieces of shit.
Wow, that's sad. I didn't know the industry went downhill like that. I haven't kept up with bmx in like 10 years. So Haro and Redline are one of the few good brands still around? That's crazy. I had a Haro back in like 96-97. That shit was so clean. All chrome, and purple trim 98 spoked rims. That shit was indistructable too. I didn't know GT went bankrupt. That's crazy too.
I never got a skateboard growing up, couldnt afford it. I think its time for me to get a skateboard just for the hell of it. How old is to old to learn to skateboard?
If you break a bone the first time you fall, and you will fall many, many times, you're too old.

Umm.. I wasnt ever aware of skateboarding dying. Ive seen people skateboarding my entire life. And I'm guessing they probably skateboard because... they like it? maybe... just like you enjoy collecting comic books and action figures like the 40 yr old virgin.

i used to do all that stuff, skateboard, bmx (i had a old ass mountain bike but it still worked), and i would jack those tech decks from kb toys.
I think I wanna bring tech decks back. I see them at stores, they still make them. LOL @ bringing the original Jax avatar back.

I still skateboard every chance I get. Def. not as much as I did in my younger days... Don't got that mcuh time anymore.

The only thing that changed is the dudes are wearing skinny ass jeans.. when the fuck did that happen is what I wanna know??? When I started it was all about the baggy ass jeans and shit.. idk I think it would be pretty hard to skate in tight jeans.
