i'm guilty, i'll give you that. but to say the niners are in better shape than the raiders in the present day is just hatred. both teams have been looking up for awhile.the raiders really look more promising this year, imo. i guess we will see come september.

I don't know why you say the raiders look more promising this year, when the year hasn't started? having selected a QB,RB,WR in top ten picks in the draft does not make you promising. But like you said, i guess we will see come September.

knowing who are qb is going into the season, having a great off season in terms of signings in general, and understanding the kind of football we want to play is positive. even if JR isnt successful early on, which i doubt, we have a proven veteran back-up.

the only thing i remember the niners doing to improve their team and this is a MAYBEE, is drafting crabtree. it has been pretty silent over there and the reason raider threads are full of hatred from you guys. as far as personell, i dont think you guys have added much. i mean your management brought in Warner for gods sake. looking at your schedule, it looks like another very long year for you guys. i could be wrong though.

Why are you Niner fans so concerned about the Raiders? that is all i want to know
the same reason raider fans are so concerned w/ the niners overtakin niner threads w/ nothin but hatred....niner fans may due the same on raider threads but i would know nothin bout that cause i have no buisness in a raider thread since i can give a shit bout the raiders, but i can only speak for myself.

i really think da reason why theres wasnt much noise this off season cuz they have most key players in places already n they try to adders what they needed n added deapth

Thats why the 9ers traded out of the 2nd and 4th rnds in the draft. They feel they have a solid young core on the OL. So even though the so-called sports experts say they neede more help in that area, the 9ers felt otherwise. We`ll see this year, and hopefully from a fan stance, they right. They still should have drafted Sean Smith out of Utah with the 2nd. A 6'4" DB and they said there wasn`t anyone there worth the pick? McLaughlin was an idiot in my book for that.

Getting back to the issue of the thread, everyone gon have an opinion. Personally though, I`ve been paying alot more attention to college and the draft the past few years, and DHB has by far shocked me the most. If you need a wr, you draft the best possible at that position. DHB was nowhere near the top. Just because he`s fast? Come on dog, no matter what anyone says trying to defend your team, outside of this tread, all my Raider fan friends hate Davis for this.

I mean DHB over Crabtree? Britt? Serious?
Personally I liked a no name kid out of Clemson, Aaron Kelly. An ACC and team leader in almost every wr category. And big like Britt at 6'4". He was on my board until Crabtree was available at 10.

then wtf r u doing in here?
for one this thread should never been made, it maybe says DHB vs. Crabtree but really its Niners vs. Raiders. Yall are arguing over some shit thats pointless until preseason begins and you ask me wtf im doing here? Niners and Raiders hardly ever play eachother in the regular season so the Niners are not even on my radar of teams im worrying about, matter of fact this so called rivalry is probably the most pointless considering they dont play games that count to much and not even in the same conference

This thread should have been made because this draft (and who the Raiders picked) will be talked about for years. Will the Raiders regret passing on Crabtree for DHB? Or will the Raiders prove they picked the right player? The experts, fans from other teams, siccness sports fans are laughing at the Raiders for choosing DHB over Crabtree so I don't see why the thread shouldn't have been created. This topic will be be debated for years so why not start the debate here and now? If the topic doesn't interest you then don't click on the thread it's as simple as that. In my opinion, it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out and we'll see who got the better receiver. The Niners say they got the best "player" in the draft so we'll see.

LOL, I don't think Crabtree will be as sorry as Rashaun Woods but I had to throw that out there since none of them brought him up. Here's what the experts thought of Woods before he was drafted (seems similar to what they said about Crabtree). Woods slipped in the draft too.... wonder why??? Check this out!!

http://football.about.com/cs/playerprofiles/p/rashaunwoods.htm?p=1

Position:
Wide Receiver
School: Oklahoma State Cowboys

Status:
Senior
Height:
6'2"
Weight :
190
40-Yard Dash:
4.55

Positives:
Probably the most polished receiver in the draft. He isn't the most athletic of this year's group, but he does have good technique, body control and ball skills. He runs good, precise routes, and gets out of his breaks quickly. He also has great hands, and can be physical when needed. Most importantly, the guy catches just about everything thrown in his vacinity. He adjusts well to the ball and rarely drops a pass.

Negatives:
Woods lacks great top-end speed and may have trouble getting separation in the NFL. He's also a little lighter than most teams would like for a guy without blazing speed and he lacks the upside of other first-round prospects.

Projection:
Rashaun Woods should be a mid first-round pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
