I think if prostitution were legal, then better steps would be taken too ensure that std's are not spread... in a safer enviornment anywhere else other then the alley way cuz its gonna happen regardless... Prostitutes are using what was given too them too make ends meet or what not so why should ANY authortive figure have the power too say what any human being can and cant do with their body??..

so yeah pretty much agree wit ya 2-0-sixx hehe

btw are the escorts on craigslists legit?? lol or jus hookers with internet access??.

If you were buying cigarettes, would you buy big brand Marlboro or hand rolled, sealed with his own spit" Joe's Brand Smokes!"?

Exactly....Or its like those guys that try to sell stereo components out the back of a van. Even though it may be cheaper than Best Buy, you should be hesitant to purchase out of concern that something is probably wrong with it, and there is no guarentee. The same would apply to legit and illegitimate hookers. Before paying an illegitimate hooker, you would most likely ask yourself, what could be wrong with this bitch that she is not working for a legitimate company? The odds she has an STD would be fairly high, where as the odds a legitimate girl has an STD would be close to zero...you pick the dice to roll.

Just because there might be professional businesses that follow a perfect code of conduct and screen every customer and every employee, doesn't mean people are gonna wanna go there; prices would obviously be higher since you'd be paying for something much more professional and most perverts wana bust a nut for the cheapest price they can get.
No one is saying that this would end stds or would be perfect. We are arguing that legal prostitution would decrease the spread of stds

lus they may not wana go down to the local whore house out if sheer laziness. think about it like this- how many people do you know that smoke weed all the time and risk being caught by the law when all they really need to do is go down to a cannibus club, get a card and throw in a little extra cash to smoke legally but never do? It'sthe same thing with the prostitution, although making it legal might help regulate and possibly better control STDs, it doesn't mean that people are going to go out of their ways to do it
As in the case of the Netherlands and most other European countries, Call Girl services are available. It's like ordering a pizza, "Yes hi, I would like to place an order for delivery. Yeah, I'd like one thick brunette with an extra side of ass. Thanks, here's my credit card info...."

^^ So instead of Pizza Hut, it's Pizza Slut?

I see nothing wrong with a man paying money for sexual relations with a woman. If both parties are willing, it can be a business exchange. People do it now anyway. Sometimes they're prostitutes, and other times it's women simply marrying a man for his money. Frankly, I think it'd be less demeaning to just fuck him and get the money than marry him and feign a relationship for the cash. At least the former is more honest.

I remember when telling kids to be prostitutes and drug addicts was something you went to school to avoid. If this is ever legalized I wonder if you'd be able to get a BA in pimping.

I just found out today some sex laws in Canada, apparently out here prostitution is legal. Pimping, or working in a "bawdy house" are illegal. Solicitation in public is illegal. Anyone over 14 can sell sex, but no one can buy sex from anyone under 18.

I also found out the legal age of consent in canada is 14, unless they are having sex with someone in a position of authority over them, like a teacher, babysitter, ect. 12 year olds can have sex as long as the partner is no more then 2 years older then them.

Is it just me or do all these laws seem fucked right up?

Prostitution is a career...simple....the levels of QUALITY can be created in the industry, by more education to the many fasettes AND interminglings of what the industry intels ....of course medical and general sexual education is a must! from there, it's really up to the patrons to find the best.

what we must talk about is the education of the people, to NOT view women as JUST sexual objects....please fellas teach your sons to treat a girl right, no matter what she does. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ABUSE OR DEGRADE A PERSON....ANY PERSON....unless it is consenting, mind you, you can't intrude in the bedroom....we need to go back to educating the population that a women/men are human beings and we are not to be reckon with....but we are beautiful and delicious to enjoy.....

sex should not be wrong....treating people right is the arguement here.

Actually, pimping, and pimps would become pretty much obsolete if prostitution were legalized...And yes, I believe STDs, as spread through prostitution, would be greatly reduced, any argument saying that it wouldn't just doesn't hold water.
