As a fan, this kinda sucks... but as a lead into potential future artists it could lead to much better things. Mainly some really great music. Only time will tell.

Strange doesn't need to go the failed route of No Limit, and try to sign every, unsigned artist from markets they wanna expand into.

I don't know how profitable the BLH venture was, but they already know the recipe for success. It doesn't make sense to add ingredients, to a proven recipe for success.

Travis is a smart businessman, he won't let the ship sink.......

no limit was shipping gold records for people who should have been getting booed on open mic night, completely different market. From sales figures, the only artist on strange making bread off albums is tech and maybe lynch

as far as cognito, he had a album of nice beats and hooks, but never really felt his lyrics and voice

born to be fly should have been a single for tech

I don't know how much he sold (I never follow that stuff) but I can't say I'm surprised. For all of Strange's talk about how Cognito was being hotly tipped by industry insiders and pursued by major labels they never managed to create any kind of buzz around him or his project.

Still, apart from a couple of tracks - like the utterly redundant and cliched one where they bitched about rappers fashion choices - I liked his album quite a lot.

I would be happy for any rapper that I like that got dropped from Strange, cause then they might be able to release some albums with good production! I hope Lynch gets done with his deal soonish...won't wait another 10 years till he comes out with good shit...
