If you watch the movie thinking it will have connected itself to the original, then your in for a smack in the fucking face. The movie gives no justice, it's a completely different movie on it's own, it shouldn't even have the name Carlito's Way.

I heard Diddy actually did a good job.

However, if you do watch it, forget about anything you remember from the original and you should enjoy it.

so yea i just seen it....preety good if you ask me....they didnt show how carlito ended up in jail...they kinda just had a happy ending type thing....and TIME in history was kinda unclear....but im thinkin the movie is supposed to take place in the mid 60's....

was kinda short too....i expected a longer movie..

oh yea...i THOUGHT nicky barnes was in power in the LATE 70's....and their not clear really which mafia family is in the movie...some of the historical stuff doesnt esxactly fit right...

movie was ok,i have a feeling there will be another one to tie the 2 together....whats up with Pachanga being Nacho in the second one.they used the same actor as 2 different characters..

I'm tempted to rent this just so i can shit on any & all of you who say this movie has any redeeming features(other than when the movie comes to an End), especially those that go so far as to call it good.

But there are better ways for me to spend my money. It should be punishment enough that any of you would even spend money to see this. :dead:

And that is why craptacular movies, like this, keep getting made.
