ok, so whether u got caught or not, ur still tha same as a person who made a "mistake" and got caught. so now this guy is branded for tha rest of his life, cant get a decent job, so is it "wrong" for him to slang dope to feed his kids? and who are YOU to call tha cops on him? he made a mistake jus like you, he jus got caught, now he has to do wut he gotta do, to feed his kids. fold.
Could've been multiple, but the case got dropped.
What's funny is, I started developing the mentality I have (now) about self accountability and "snitching" while I was being questioned.
The cops tried to ice me and act like the tape recorded wasn't working just as preliminary questioning started. They let me sit there for 20 minutes while they went to go "fix" it. Gave me time to think. When they questioned me, I "stood up" and didn't give them anything.
I could have flipped on some people (including myself) but I grew up FAST in that 20 minutes, lol (I was 19 at the time, I'm 30 now).

okay peete, so wut i'm gettin at is, YOU made a mistake that coulda slapped a felony on ur record. u COULD'VE been stucc with a felony to prevent u from gettin DECENT jobs, FOR THA REST OF YOUR LIFE. if ur bout to get evicted, cuz mcdonalds aint payin u enough, and ur baby hardly has clothes, and u decide to slang dope, that's where the word "wrong" gets cloudy, yeah it's LEGALLY wrong, but to me it's MORALLY necessary, ya dig? buddy next door might be slangin shit to put 24" rims on his ride, or to feed his kid, who am i to judge? thats y i jus stay out of it and don't SNITCH. fold.

I believe it's "wrong" because this isn't some Robin Hood shit like you're trying to make it out to be.
It's "wrong" on more than one level. So if he gets caught, and/or killed, now his kids have no father/provider.
Q: Who am I (or any other citizen that doesn't want drug trafficking in his/her neighborhood where his/her kids are being raised) to call the cops on him?
A: I and/or those other prospective citizens would be responsible parents.

yet youre not concerned with cops knowing who you are..investigasting yourself or talking to you..
a criminal dosent snitch because a criminal snitching would be snitching on himself...giving the police one extra clue to finding them...
if you ever shot someone in your life or fucked someone up beyond a scuffle....why would you bring police attention to yourself? knowing that one day, dna forensics, or other tests might lace you to a crime you thought you got away with?
why would you want a cop near you, as a real criminal?
