Yay! lol.

I just didn't want it there cuz wen I tell people to check out tech n9ne, they will probably go to his website.......and once they see that they might be turned off and not want to check him out....

....it's great music......you shouldn't have to do that to sell.....sooner or later people will see this is some real music...
Sooner or Later is starting to seem like the day after never. Something needs to change, i may not agree with this strategy but im tired of people saying "shits so raw you gotta make it sometime". Tech has been bringing heat for years and its not "just taking off" so unless you, or anyone else thats made this comment, has that magic solution, anything is better than nothing.

Here's a suggestion of how they could've done this thing:
1. Tech brags about his merch doing $5,000 a night. They tour a lot, so they're making some great money off of merch. Save this money for a few tours and invest it in a HUGE video/radio push budget.
2. After he records the CD, he gathers focus groups that involves "radio listeners" and "club goers". He plays them some songs and they'll let him know which ones they'd like. The focus group can't ever hear of Tech before hand.
3. At the start of June, they should've blitzed the radio/TV with the single. It's the start of the summer, so it's time to usher in the new "bangers". I'm sure the focus group would've chosen a good one.
4. There's a solid month of airplay before the July 1st release. His name would've been out.

Like Tech says, he's almost done. Why not invest as much money as he could've into blitzing that one big hit?

I prefer that a "focus group" of people who haven't heard of Tech N9ne (because then I can only assume they listen to bullshit music) NOT pick Tech's next "club banger" for me. Thanks though.

tech said he will not pay to get played on the radio, if his music is good enough then people will request it and then it will be played
it starts with the die hard tech fans to start requesting it first then let it get some play, and hopefully people will pick up on it
If other die-hard Tech N9ne fans are like me, then they probably don't even listen to the radio. There's too much crap on there. Sure we could request that Tech gets airplay, but I'm not going to listen to that crap all day just to hear Tech N9ne on the radio. It's not Tech's fault, it's just the state of the industry.

Does anyone remember when everready came out? They said buy a copy of everready and take a picture of u with everready and send it to them and u can win some contest. Well they should of done something like that with killer. Better then says go buy 10 copies of killer. I do agree that they should push tech more to main stream but that costs money. Which i am sure tech has. Dunno why they ain't pushing shit like they could. I mean look at VITILIGO. After they came out with that boom its over with time for the next shit. I really wonder what the sales are for it because they haven't really pushed it. Strange runs shit werid. I mean I support strange to the fullest I have bought every single release that they put out and I don't even do that with ICP's shit anymore. Strange has also been good to me, I had out some samplers and some flyers and shit and I get some free tickets. The one thing that will keep me down with strange is tech is the type of guy that ain't afraid to sign something. If you see him in the streets he will stop to say what's up. Also looks like the took the bum rush shit down.

ummm i jus watched the vid and he never said go out and buy 10 copies. one of his fans did that and he appreciates it like any artist would. He was even shocked somebody actually bought 10 copies. He jus wants people to go buy his album. Besides if ya'll are so damn smart about how to market and promote underground music in a mainstream dominated industry with a limited budget why don't ya'll go develope a well thought out marketing plan that will allow you to promote everything while still worrying about paying your other artist and trying to keep them happy at the same time. If you can think of something good that works im sure they'd appreciate it

1. Trade in the Maybach for a Kia Spectra
2. Use the craploads of extra cash to push the promos out the door and build huge hype OUTSIDE OF THE INTERNET for the album release and first video
3. Use craploads of profits to buy new, completely pimped-out Maybach

End of story.

The page is what asked the fans to go out and buy upwards of 10 copies. This could have been thought up, written and posted up by someone other then Tech (and probably was) however it was on Tech N9ne's site, not Sam the Assistant's website, thus it reflects on Tech.

Yall dont know how hard they work for us fans...and as long as they put REAL MUSIC out i will always continue to support. the music has helped me through many hard times. Tech WILL get the recognition he deserves. What the fuck is a number???? yeah its money in their pocket but theres more to life than money. As long as Tech, TO, and strange are HAPPY and ENJOY LIFE... Thats all i fucking care about. TRUE FANS will be there for support. QUIT YOUR FUCKING SHIT TALKIN LIKE YALL ARE MUSIC BUSINESS GURUS.

Seriously, y'all should create some power point presentations and call up TO and offer up a serious marketing strategy, if he likes it he might even hire you as a consultant. Until you do that, shut the fuck up and stop bitching about their marketing tactics. I personally think that the "bum rush the charts" thing was pathetic and down right embarrassing but w/e. Most of you on here havn't ammounted to shit yet feal you have right to criticize TO, a man who runs a very successful Independent music label.
