if you're the #1 mma, kick boxer, pride fighter, etc that does mean you can fight and probably very well. A punchers chance exists but I'll take anderson silva over any of your toughest euro buddies on a bet any day of the year.
In the ring you would win that bet, off course.
But out on the street it's a whole different ball game my friend.
Place a bet on a street fight like that I don't care if they are #1 or not. They will get destroyed.
Yesterday I watched UFC119 Cro Cop vs Mir. Both champions of the UFC and Pride but they made so many mistakes I see beginners make.
Both of them would have been destroyed in a street fight, I don't care what you believe!
You might not understand training for competition is very different then training for a street fight.
Street fight = to end the fight as quickly as possible by any means necessary.
competition fight = getting as many points as possible with a 3 times 5 minute round.
You just can't go in with one punch or one kick and then back out again, this might work to score points in the ring but this will get you destroyed in a real fight.
A world of difference, so you will be deceived by thinking you can actually fight if you are fighting in competitions, even though you can do very well.
