Also Ring Magazine having Bute ranked as their #1 SMW is pretty ridiculous. Ward beat Kessler, the consensus #1 ranked at the time, and is getting ready for a fight with another ranked fighter. Froch has beaten the lineal LHW champ, Taylor & Dirrell (disputed or not) and is going into a fight with another ranked fighter.

I like Bute plenty and think highly of him but having him ranked higher than guys fighting and beating other ranked fighters while his best win is Andrade is a shame.

What the fuck is wrong with Briggs corner, and even the referee not stopping that fight after the 8th?! They both failed to do their jobs.

Briggs has 2 broken orbital bones, a broken nose, a torn bicep...and a concussion. I mean I give him props for having the heart to stay in there, but c'mon that was pretty senseless.

He fought some decent fighters, Andrade & Bika being his best wins. Just given the current landscape in the division it seems unfair that he's ranked as the top dog when there's people fighting and beating better competition than his.

Ward is clearly the #1 SMW in boxing. Bute should be 2 or 3.

Bute knocked out Andrade but we shouldn't forgot he got lucky as hell he was knocked out himself the first time against Andrade.

Ward on other hand not only beat kessler, he beat the shit out of him for every second of every round.

oh well, I'm sure the rankings will correct themselves after Ward beats Bika and the abraham/froch winner.

I like Bika but I think anyone in the top 10 should beat that dude. On the flip side of that, I'm never surprised if he beats any of them too I guess.

Bute has beaten decent fighters but nothing to warrant being the best guy in the division by resume.

I don't like watching the Klitschko's fight and Ward is kinda the same way for me but they haven't been losing rounds either against the best competition available. Something to be said for that

Klit literally broke his face






Vitali called out David Haye. Also, the winner of Decembers Solis vs Austin will become Vitali's official mandatory.

Personally I think Solis will do better than David Haye, but Haye vs Klit would be a much bigger fight.

It's the Liakovich syndrome. They've seen Briggs do exactly what they say every puncher in the world can do and that's win a title in a fight he's been looking hopeless in in the dying seconds of the fights. If Briggs was Malignaggi he would've been pulled out without hesitation.

It's no excuse and the referee shouldn't take such things into consideration. He should've done his job and stopped the fight for Briggs anytime after round 7.

haha, this going to be awesome. Camacho is going to get his head knocked off!

If you haven't watched David Lemieux fight, do yourself a favor and make sure to watch this one on Oct 29th. He is a killer. He's the most exciting Canadian fighter I've seen since Gatti.

What an awesome KO. Camacho was hurt earlier in the ring then completely blown away by a right hand in at the end of the 1st. You could tell by the way he fell that was game over.
