i didn't think he was really that dope in the 90's, I mean he had his moments but the same reason he wasn't all that great back then is the same reason he isn't all that great now (stamina).
i guess your right, I always have flashbacks in my head of him knocking foo's out on Tuesday night fights but most of those fighters were nobodys. He gave Lewis a good fight the first couple rounds and i guess he did run out gas. All i can say wow of that pic Naner posted.

Then 48 year old George Foreman also got robbed against Briggs, I'm pretty sure everyone who watched that fight thought Foreman beat Briggs. In the very next fight he lost to Lewis (which you're right he did do good I think he knocked Lewis down or came close in the first round, then proceeded to get pummeled).

I always looked at Briggs as good example of why the body builder type body rarely ever works in boxing. All muscles but not very athletic and gasses after a few rounds.

He also proved many suspicions that he's been on steriods when he got busted a couple years ago.

With all that said he seems like a really cool dude (besides that video I posted) and he's actually a really good commentator the few times I've seen him on ESPN.

I will say though, asthma medicine does have steriods in it. My brother used to get steriods prescribed to him from his doctor to help with his asthma.

bute was landing some nasty uppercuts. Brinkley showed a lot of heart he got fucked up but kept getting up from what appeared to be KO shots. 3rd knockdown was the killer though and I'm pretty sure he broke his nose on the second knockdown. I was surprised brinkley lasted that long and he did well considering he was completely outclassed.

Tarver made his heavyweigth debut. Looked ok. Also kinda fat. Don't expect much from him at that stage of his career.

Also Diaconu got dropped by Omar Sheika in the second round, recovered and won a decision. Didn't look too impressive.

What else...showtime shawn porter made his welterweight debut. Looked pretty solid, 8 or 9th round stoppage. I think he's better at 147, 154 he was just too small. Still is sloppy at times needs clean up his game.

And I believe Frankie Gomez is still fighting on a golden boy card on a mexican channel, maybe starting now (10pm)...

^^^ Im still trying to figure out if Tarver took a shot at Hopkins. Sounded like he was discrediting what Hopkins has done these last couple years but maybe i didnt hear him correctly. Cant believe how big Tarver is, hes need to lose a little more weight even though he probably wants to be at that size. He could very well beat anyone at heavyweight though cuz his reflexes are better then most heavyweights and hes always been a good counter puncher and lets be real its not like the heavyweight division has any fighters that throw good combos or even throw punches at a high rate, they all get tired before like 6th round. If Tarver can get his stamina up a little better theres noone that will beat him

I'm not sure how I feel about Porter's performance. Maybe it's because I've seen Munoz got battered around, dropped plenty and finally put out while standing by non punching Decarie and then get straight shit kicked by Mike Jones. I honestly thought Porter would blow him away.

Tarver is a non factor at heavyweight put him in against a guy trying to make his name HW and let it be.

Bute looked exactly how he should against someone like Brinkley. Hopefully his next opponent is somewhere in the top 15, I wish Stieglitz and his camp would just man up and sign to unify.
