Nov 5th. Hide yo wife, hide yo kids!

Alfredo Angulo vs. James Kirkland is a real man's card. Someone is going to get hurt. The winner could likely fight Canelo next. Same goes for Kid Chocolate vs McEwan, although it's obvious McEwan is the one getting hurt.

_____________

he's actually from the Ukraine born there in 1985 when it was still the soviet union. His father is African (sierra leone) his mother Ukrainian.

And he's fucking sick. The future of the Light Heavyweight division, imo.

As for blacks in Russia there aren't many. Probably under a 100,000. There used to be more especially after the 1917 revolution when blacks were considered equal, something that was way a head of it's time, but slowly as the years went on and as the soviet union started to disintegrate, it become more backwards again and especially after the collapse of the soviet union russia is a pretty damn racist country these days unfortunately, so there isn't much of a desire for africans or blacks in general to move to russia to study at universities or work, etc. so the population continues to dwindle.

The only thing Kirkland has going for him is Angulo's 18 month layoff.
Other than that it I don't see anything in his favor. Maybe speed, but 2 totally different class fighters which I don't think speed would overcome anything.

Angulo should be favored, but I'm not going to underestimate Kirkland's hunger. This is it for him and he knows it. He wins this fight, and he's got Canelo, a real good money fight. He loses and he goes right back down to the bottom.

Pre-prison, I think it was a 50-50 fight or 60-40 Kirkland. After 2 years in prison and the shock TKO loss to Ishida, you have to make angulo the favorite. But like you said, 18 month layoff, plus the hunger of kirkland and being back with ann wolfe, you never know.

Should be a war though for however long it lasts, that's for sure.

Angulo vs Kirkland is going to be a war. It's a 50 -50 fight to me. Kirkland's knockout and Angulo getting beat up by Kermit and the 18-month lay-off makes it an even fight.

what do you guys think about the James Toney fight against the Russian with the fucked up face (who just KO'd old ass roy jones) in Russia? He does look the best I've seen him look in at least 5 years. I think it's too little too late, can't beat old age. But the Russian dude Lebedev is kinda whack tbh so he has a good shot.

Would be funny if he wins he's relevant again, just like Antonio Tarver. Wouldn't mind seeing them fight.

Kirkland got beaten violently by a non punching Ishida. Angulo in his last fight that mattered beat a guy much better than Ishida and the guy that beat Angulo is far better than anyone Kirkland's ever fought and he damn sure didn't get his face ruined by him.

Not sure where this 18 month lay off is coming from either. Angulo might've not been in the ring long last time he fought but he better believe he had some kind of training camp for the fight. I think Kirkland gets annihilated here in a not even close maybe 2-3 rounder at most.

I don't know about a quick beating though. Angulo is a pressure fighter and mostly breaks people down. Quicker than most breakdowns but I don't really see him as a KO artist. If it goes 2-3 rounds it would be Kirkland with the kill.

Ishida isn't close to a KO artist and Angulo hits more than hard enough with Kirkland's faulty defense to blow his face away, early.

I've long knocked Angulo for being a pressure fighter that doesn't punch enough, he gets away with it because he hits hard. I think Angulo's style is all bad for Kirkland.

Kirkland has been the more active of the two and him going back to Ann Wolfe is a good thing, you know she's not going to let him go out like a bitch. Angulo is a beast but 18-month lay-off is a long time. I think this fight will only last 6 -8 rounds and someone will get KO'ed.

Damn I forgot about the Johnson vs Bute. I will be flipping back and forth between Showtime and HBO this weekend. I want to see if Bute is the real deal, because the Road Warrior will come to fight.

Angulo was about to get deported that's why he has not been fighting. My thinking is that if Angulo had any punching power he would have hurt Kermit and made him quit like Margarito made him do twice. But Kirkland being dropped by lite punching Ishida is crazy. That's why I call it a 50 -50 fight they both have the same fighting style and they both have questions to answer.

how do we know Ishida wasn't just an off night for james? He had like 3 fights in less than a month's time and he wasn't even trimmed down to 154 pounds yet and with a different trainer. It's one of those things where perhaps they rushed him too fast after getting out of prison and maybe he just wasn't at close to being at his best yet.

Now of course, maybe he still isn't and maybe he'll never be like what he was pre-prison, but I know Kirkland walked through Julio and Vera's punches and both those guys are much bigger punchers than Ishida. Just sayin, I don't think I would use Ishida as evidence as to why he'd lose this fight or not. That fight, I think james was just off.

Angulo has fought in the last 2-4 months is what I was saying. It was a 1 round blowout but he's gotten in the ring and I'm sure he had a camp for that. Not sure where everyone is getting the 18 month layoff thing. Angulo's one scrub fight puts him in no worse position from Kirkland's two scrub fights since getting KO'd.

I know for a fact he's fought semi recently cause I have the Televisa broadcast.
