I'd rather see Ward Vs. Dawson right now. As impressive as this performance was for Froch he had nothing for Froch not that long ago. I'd rather see Froch Vs. Kessler II, close fight the first time should be a good scrap again.

I can't rate Froch over Calzaghe at all. Calzaghe beat Kessler clean, something Froch couldn't do years later and his win over Hopkins should be rated higher than anything Froch has done considering what Hopkins went on to do (as disputed as the loss may be).

at 168 ill take frochs resume over calzaghe. calzaghe in all those years fought two good opponents - lacy and kessler, that's it. froch also beat glen Johnson who calzaghe ducked no less than three separate times.

calzaghe was the better fighter but his reign was so damn thin, almost as bad as Ottke's.

Come on .. Glen Johnson was 87 years old. I'm not saying at 168 I'm saying straight up. I'd take the Hopkins win and the #1/#2 in the division in the Kessler fight over anything Froch has done to this point. Not saying Froch won't surpass him cause he's taking big challenges and he's winning in big fights. I just wouldn't right now..

I thought bigface was talking about 168. If we're talking straight up joe has the edge cuz of the hopkins win, even though he probably should have lost or got a draw.

Glen Johnson was 39 or 40, or whatever, yeah he was older but I thought that was Froch's best performance up till tonight, as he dominated which isn't an easy task even against an older Johnson. He also dominated Abraham and beat Taylor, both very solid wins at the time and got a decision over Dirrell. That's 5 solid wins at 168 and Joe has 2 solid wins.

edit

forgot jean pascal too. what a resume at 168. Don't really think there is another fighter that has fought such good opponents back to back like this. No tune ups, no stay busy fights, in order:

Jean Pascal
Jermain Taylor
Andre Dirrell
Mikkel Kessler (close loss)
Arthur Abraham
Glen Johnson
Andre Ward (loss)
Lucien Bute
