I don't think either guy has to move up to fight Stevenson. It would make more sense that Ward and Froch would fight each other, even though Ward will likely beat the piss out of him. What you're saying is just as good as saying, how come none of these guys will step up and fight Ward or Froch from 160lbs. They should just move up and challenge them or meet them at a catchweight. I think Ward and Froch are both good at 168 for now.

I'd like to see someone like Quillin or GGG fight some of these top guys at 168 but they'll likely stay at 160 for awhile. Can't count on Chavez jr. to step up and fight anyone decent.

Both lineal titles cant be up for grabs. Anything over 168 is Light Heavyweight.

Bellow is Stevenson's mandatory. It's likely he'll have to fight him first.

From there the best fight is against Bernard Hopkins since Stevenson is Champ, and Hopkins is #1. It would also be a unification bout. Additionally Hopkins is a far bigger name than Ward especially in Canada where he is well known after beating Pascal there. That's the biggest fight for Stevenson. Well, besides fighting the Bute-Pascal winner, that would be huge there but likely cant happen till 2014.

I want to see Ward or Froch move up in weight and challenge themselves. Why does these to guys get pass for staying at 168lb and fighting nothing but rematches. Stevenson moved up to make the big fight, why does these two P4P fighter get to stay at one division and bottom feed duck mandatory challengers? Maybe I'm tripping but I'm sick of the same remix fight over and over. I want to see some guys step up and fight other guys. Ward needs to move to 175lb already.

Froch is nearly finished with his boxing career and only has a couple fights left. He's also not big or outgrown the division.

Ward should probably move to 175 because of lack of opponents.

Obviously your post is secretly about broner and Floyd because That's all u think about. People wanted broner to move up because he was fucking massive at 130/135. He's young and clearly out grew those divisions, as shown by him jumping to 147. Floyd is tapped out at 147, he's no junior middleweight. But like with Ward, people want to see Floyd against Canelo because of lack of opponents at 147 and of course since its a huge fight.

You love putting words in my mouth don't you? I stated my point pretty damn clear if you know how to read. I'm sick of Ward begging for rematches against guys he already beat. Your double talking self just admitted that their is no one at 168lb for him to fight. So why is Ward so content with staying at 168lb fighting rematches? I hold all top P4P fighters to a high standards. Ward is in his prime too time to move up and challenge himself.

since when is ward begging for rematches of guys he already beat? Not to mention, all of those guys being mentioned for a rematch are far and away better than ANYONE Broner has come anywhere close to beating, so you can't compare the two.

Ward is 6'1 so he should be able to pack on an extra 7 pounds. Might take a year or so to adjust to something like that. A tune up or two at LHW would be fair.

His biggest payday would be Froch though, for sure. He wouldn't go to the UK though.

So that big ass sold out Canadian crowd was their to see Gamboa and Chad Dawson, and not the guy from Canada Stevenson? Believe me their is big money to be made fighting Stevenson. I want to see the number 2 P4P boxer in the world move up to fight the 175lb lineal champion Stevenson. He already beat up a prime Froch why fight him again?? Stevenson is bigger and a better fight for his legacy.. Plus he can make big money in Canada.

I agree beating Stevenson is better for his legacy. Fighting Froch in the UK, on UK PPV, would be much more money though so I see what he's trying to do. Stevenson has a mandatory with Bellow next so he'll still be there a few months from now if Ward can't land Froch.

Based on his recent performance against Salido (twice) I don't think he has a chance.
Then again, maybe it was just Salido's style that gave him problems. Garcia is way different. Doesn't bull forward. Minimal pressure. Etc.

I think most people are judging each of their performances against Salido and saying that Garcia should handle him no problem.

I think Juanma has a good chance. He will still lose, but not as bad as some people think.

Yeah JuanMa is still a pretty good fighter but leaky defense and shaky chin, he's been rocked/hurt quite a bit of times before Salido. I didn't watch his last fight, some no name can't remember, but I think I recall hearing he didn't look too good.

At the 30 day weigh in or whatever his face was all fucked up. Not sure if it was from sparring or he fell on the concrete?? Huge scrape looking wound on his cheek and lip. Don't know what to make of that.
