Donaire looked good.
It's tough fighting someone who towers over you. It requires so much movement and changes the way you fight. You eat it coming in and you eat it going back out.

I think he did well.

Pavlik on the other hand, has a lot to work on...

I was bothered by donaires post fight interview. he said he plans on unifying the belts, but only 3 out of 4 belts then move to 126. he has two belts now, so I guess that means he's going to fight Nishioka then leave? no rigondeaux and no mares fights? that's kinda weak. I had thought when he said he wants to unify the belts he meant all four belts. I guess rigondeaux will have to chase him to 126

Russell Jr will end Donaires run at 126lb. Donaire just can't land punches good when a guy has defense. He proved that three times in a row now. If Donaire used his jab and use more body work he would be the beast that HBO wants everyone to believe he is. He just doesn't impress me Mares, Rigondeaux, and Moreno are the skill fighters I want to see him fight. Mathebula was a bum sloppier then k-9 and fighting scared all night and he still landed two jabs and the wide right hand all night on Donaire. Not impressed at all.

Rigondeaux, as good as he is, is a nobody. Risk vs Reward type fight, where the risk greatly outweighs the reward.
I'd like to see him fight Mares.

Ya, Mathebula at times would throw punches like a girl.

mares is an easy fight stylistically for donaire. Rigondeaux would give him problems since he's a defensive counter puncher. Moreno hasn't fought at 122 I don't think.

gary Russell still needs to step up first before I can comment. he seems to be the truth so far but he's fought nothing but bums so we need to see him against a top opponent. he leaves himself wide open at times when he's throwing combos and I've never really seen his chin tested, although I'm sure since he's been fighting weak opponents maybe he doesn't care if he's wide open. Just something I noticed in his past couple fights.

anyways I don't see the rush to move to 126 for donaire, plenty of great fights at 122. Id like to see him stay for awhile. Nishioka, Rigondeaux, Mares, hell even Poonsawat if he ever comes to america.

Mares is not easy at all for Donaire was get hit by sloppy slow ass dude last night. Mares has real boxing skills plus Mares is a killer to the body (no low blows). lol. Donaire is in for a long hard fight with Mares and Rigondeaux will knock him out.

Mares is exactly the type of fighter and style that Donaire shines against. Like I said earlier Donaire is the type of fighter that likes to set up his shots, he likes to capitalize off mistakes. Guys that come to him get hurt bad. Look at Vic and Montiel. When Donaire can be patient, he sets up beautiful shots.

When Donaire is forced to be the aggressor and chase his opponents around the ring, he can't set up those shots as frequently and as effectively. Vazquez and Mathebula retreated for most of the fight and Donaire was forced into a game that's not his best.

Mares isn't going to out-box donaire, he's too small and he doesn't have the skills. He's going to have to be the aggressor and that spells doom for him. Easy fight to predict (mares on his back).

I'm a huge fan of Rigondeaux and I think out of all the guys at 122 he has the best chance to beat Donaire but I seriously doubt he could knock him out.

I just don't see the greatiness in Donaire at all. I've never seen Donaire breakdown a fighter in the ring using body punching and a jab to set-up his power punching. Donaire just looks to land the left hook all fight, and if he doesn't land it the fight is going to the cards. I have seen Mares breakdown fighters and I have seen him switch to a plan B in the ring too. Mares has a good chin and good defense. Plus his inside fighting is top notch. I don't see Donaire running over Mares at all. I think it's a very good fight actually.

Donaire fights with his hand down by his waist and his defense sucks = Rigondeaux knocking his ass out.

Khan needs this W.
His style is being picked apart little by little. It seems that everyone has been getting better and he sort of just stayed where he was at for the last year or more. Just added bigger lat muscles...

Khan has all the tools to make these a easy fight. But Gracia fought Holt and took all of his big shots, so I know that he has a good chin. Khan has stamina problems after the 6th round. If Gracia can weather the strom and work the body or time Khan jumping in with his combos and work the body, Gracia can win this fight, but he has to work the body all night. Gracia didn't look all that good against Erik Morales, he got hit way too much by the old man, but maybe he gave the old legend too much respect. If Khan wins and by KO he's in the running for a Mayweather fight again. I have Khan by UD or late TKO..
