I don't see an issue with Broner camping out at 130 and trying to prove he's the best in that division at the moment. He's only 22 years old, has clear boxing skills, and again he's only 22. No need to rush the kid, he's fighting the type of guys he should be fighting at his stage, solid fighters but not necessarily top fighters.

As for Alexander, I don't give this win as much credit as I normally would. The last time I saw Alexander looked this good was against Urango .. who has the same plodding come forward, take punches style. Alexander's shown he can fight guys like this and fight them well. I'm interested in who he fights next..
That's why I like fighters like Devon he fights against all the fighting styles not just the fighting styles that will make him look good on TV. You have a lot of fighter today being overrated, overhyped, and made to look elite because they look good on HBO/Showtime against one style of fighters. How can you be called an elite fighter when you only look good against one type of fighting style?? I'm not going to call out these fighters but that's a big problem in boxing today.

Broner would destroy anyone those fighters mentioned. Gamboa or Rios would get ko'd trust me! Got Em!!
interesting being that broner arguably lost to a small ponce de leon moving up in weight class just a few fights ago.

Broner is a good fighter, he has speed and power, however he still has a lot to prove. He needs to tighten up his shots a bit he can and has got caught before. he's young, so he'll likely continue to improve but it's way too premature to say he beats guys like Rios & Gamboa.

I am looking forward and the dude has vastly improved and will soon be one the best pound for pound fighters. I think that De Leon fight was good for him and now he wont let sumthin like that happen again. I see dude beasting for years to come with no one stopping him. I think Gamboa will beat Rios also. Got Em!!

So you're basically calling a triple par.

Gamboa to beat Rios.
Then Broner to move up and KO them both. Probably pays about 50 to 1, at the very least.
Given that none of those would happen, let alone all 3.

I really hope you don't gamble.

Rios would fuck Broner up but hes probably moving up to 140 pretty quick so Broner will have to move up if he wants to fight him. Gamboa its really tough to say and cant call it with Broner.

broner is an ass. Too cocky, I want to see him get his ass kicked almost as much as I want to see it happen to mayweather.

I think boner vs gamboa would be a real entertaining fight, and thats the one I want to see

I aint calling nuthin just giving my opinion. I think Broner is a better fighter than both of them and if in the future he meets any of them he would win. Gamboa/Rios is a very tough fight to call but I am goin with Gamboa. Got Em!!

I think so too, Rios is a smaller version of Margarito, walks his opponents down and breaks their will while taking a bunch of shots in the process. Gamboa would be the tougher fight imo, Broner has better defense and footwork tho. his athleticism would beat them both.

Yeah Gamboa's speed and athleticism is being underplayed a bit here. I think Broner is a real talent and there's good fights out there at 130 that would serve as good tests for someone his age with the obvious best being a unification with Uchiyama, Burgos (although I think that fight made him a mandatory for Ao's title), Rocky Martinez, Salgado collected a belt in a garbage vacant fight and Broner would look good smashing him for another title.

There's a lot of good Broner can do for himself without going crazy about being matched with Gamboa or Rios ATM. I've said it a million times on here, I don't like it when young guys get rushed into big fights. If he wins, good for him. If he loses a big step in devastating fashion, that can ruin a promising talents career at a young age.

I don't see anything great about Rios. He has a strong chin, good stamina, and can apply good pressure. But Rios doesn't have one punch KO power, no defense at all, and I have never seen him use a plan B and any of his fights. Rios is big for 135lb so he's been able to over power everyone he has fought so far. At 140lb Rios is going to get beat up.

Gamboa has all the offensive skills you want punching power and hand-speed. Gamboa biggest problems are his size(dude is short), his chin (dude has been knocked down a lot), and his defense is improved but not all that good.

I just don't see Gamboa or Rios blowing out Broner like some posters might think both of those guys are too easy to hit clean. Broner's defense, hand-speed, and punching power will give anyone trouble from 130-135lb.

I think Rios proves to big at this point for Broner. He applies great pressure, good pressure fighters get outworked, great pressure fighters beat people down.

.. and Gamboa's not as chinny as his knockdown count looks. The only clean knockdown in his career was against Jimenez. De Jesus wasn't a knockdown, Ramirez clocked him with an elbow, etc. They got counted as knockdowns but I don't think he's chinny by any means.

EDIT: my comments about Rios are directed towards a Broner fight if it were to happen now. I always think it's harder for guys with that style to move up in weight over a guy that relies heavily on boxing skill instead of pressure and sheer determination.
