Naner12 I'm going to be watching both FNF and Shobox tonight. Shobox is getting real good at building up fighters and the match making is getting better. But I'm waiting for tomorrow UFC and Boxing After Dark. That's what I call a good weekend nothing but fights.

I'm telling you folks, they're trying to make the Pac-Man vs. Mayweather the biggest fight ever. We need Don King's shady a$$ involved, he puts on all the big fights. Just be sure to watch your 'Money' Mayweather around that dude.

Yeah I'll watch both just saying FNF looks fairly shitty. Prescott fights a bum .. at least two undefeated fighters are the co main event so that might be fairly decent. ShoBox is where it's at with Avalos main eventing.

the only time I recall Urango getting hurt was by Randall Bailey and as you know his a fuckin hard ass hitter but I haven't seen all his fights.

I kinda have a feeling Alexander may disappoint though. I think there is so much talk about what's next for Alexander (bradley, amir khan, etc.) it can be easy to overlook the guy that you're supposed to beat easily, fights like this are sometimes hard to stay motivated for. So I could see him struggling a bit with his style and good chin and maybe not finishing him off. Reminds me of Bernard Hopkins vs Keith Holmes, which was to set up the fight with Trinidad. Even though Hopkins won easy, his performance was very boring and lackluster in that fight because his eyes were on Trinidad. That's probably why Tito was a 7-1 favorite to beat Bhop
I think that and the fact that Tito moved up in weight and annihilated Joppy helped him be a big favorite going into it.

.. and I wish this fucking tennis match would end.

Martin just gave Avalos a free boxing lesson. When they said split decision I thought the kid was gonna get fucked .. there was no way Avalos won more than 3 rounds there. Good win for Martin.

Cloud clearly won the fight, i dont know what Lederman was smoking saying it was a draw. Cloud landed more effective punches and Johnsons age showed, didnt throw enough punches imo

I agree T-Rip I had Cloud winning by two rounds. I never seen Glen Johnson hurt like that before.

Tavoris though his one thing is he does have those long stretches of time of inactivity, I know he's just trying to conserve energy but that's the only reason really he loses rounds. He's a beast when he unleashes though at times he was knocking Johnson around like a rag doll and that's somethin you just never see.

As for Alexander, man, I thought he clearly won too but damn he kinda took a beating. I don't know if it was just nerves, the pressure and looking a head into the future (timothy bradley) but his stock definitely goes down a little bit after that performance, he was pretty shaky for the second half of the fight, bloody as hell and constantly looked like he was one punch away from getting dropped. I keep forgetting this kid is only 23 though so he still has a lot to learn so hopefully this was a tough lesson.

Anyways, Bradley vs Alexander is set up nicely and also assuming Chad DAwson wins next week he can fight Cloud. Two big fights right there to look forward to.

Good night of action!

And yes, if anyone caught it Floyd Mayweather was ringside with Don King. He declined an interview.

Why is Kotelnik not getting any credit for the fight he put on? Everyone is talking about how Alexander's mind wasn't in or this or that but Kotelnik is as solid as it gets in this division. Khan fought a fantastic fight against Kotelnik but that doesn't take away from who he is, he's still a guy that beat Maidana in a close decision and besides the Khan fight he's fought extremely tough against everyone he's ever met in the ring. Give the man some credit.

.. and K9 is now a world champ! Look at that

Kotelnik fought a great fight. He just needed to put in more work move them damn hands. Cloud needs one more big fight before he's ready for Dawson. FNF was another action packed card.

how about Cloud vs Shumanov? I'd like to see it.
Cloud crushes Shumenov IMO. Johnson makes most fighters look like that and he had Dawson and queer street when the first fought .. why does Cloud need another fight before fighting the winner of Cloud/Pascal? I say set it up while they'd both be coming off wins in back to back weeks on HBO.

Cloud should fight dawson right away I just have a feeling dawson isn't going to want the fight, chads talking 168 pounders like Bute.

So if that can't happen, might as well take Shumenov's WBA belt, then Cloud would have two belts and Dawson would have two.

I just think that Chad is too slick for right now Cloud. Chad beat the Road Warrior up very easily in the second fight. Cloud needs to work on his defense, he's too easy to hit. Chad would pot shot him all night. I think Chad will put on a great show Saturday against Pascal. 2-0-Sixx I want to see Cloud vs Shumenov and Bute vs Dawson. Then if they both won Cloud vs Dawson next year for the real championship of the light-heavies.

I knew Dawson wont fight Cloud.

Dawson not interested in Cloud, wants Bute

http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=29970

How lame is that? Cloud & Dawson are fighting 1 week apart on HBO, they both have belts, perfect setup for a fight. Bute isn't even in the division. This will be the second time Dawson avoids Cloud, the first time he had a better excuse though but he still gave up a belt not to fight him.

It's possible Bute wont want to fight him though. I mean why should Bute move up to 175 to fight Dawson, when he can hand around 168 a little longer and fight the Super Six guys for big money?
