Sillakh earned his KO loss. He outmatched this guy skill wise in every way possible and instead of taking it to him he tried to play it safe and barely work while winning. Not sure if he just wanted to put some rounds in before he got a payday fight against someone at the top or if he didn't want to injure himself for the same reason but I'm sure a loss and a medical suspension isn't going to help his case either.

Fortuna looked fantastic tonight too, 22 years old and straight up blew away Evans, add to that a legit amateur background.

The Showtime card was pretty dope too if anyone checked it out.

I don't see how anyone could knock a Dawson Vs. Ward fight especially since Dawson said he'd go fight him at 168 or Ward could go up. That'd be an excellent fight if it was made.

If someone wants to fight Dawson at LHW they should call him out, he's the man to beat there not the other way around.

As far as this fight went though it's good to see Hopkins go out like he went. Glad it wasn't a KO loss or a horrific beating. If he decides to call it quits after this it's been one of the greatest careers that I've had the pleasure of watching play out live.

Wasn't the greatest but it's worth it if you haven't seen Oosthuizen. He fights so much different than what he looks like he should. Gonna be exciting to watch him fight until someone blows him away from taking too many punches.

most everyone knew it wasn't going to be an "exciting" fight. plus u have to realize hopkins is 47 years old and he did what he had to to slow down the pace. watch a young hopkins in his prime his work rate was quite good.

and Dawson doesn't suck he's very talented. the one knock on him is he isn't always as aggressive as he should but that's tough to do against a cagy fighter like hopkins even at his old age.

so whats the deal, is hopkins officially retired? sadly i only caught the post-fight dawson interview where he was talking about the 47 headbutts he received lol...
not officially. he said in the post fight interview he's thinking it over and may focus more of the promotional sides of things at golden boy, but he also said he will fight on if there is a fight out there that can truly motivate him like against Lucien Bute. So in other works only big money fights. He wont fight some relatively unknown guy that's for sure.

he also said the fight was very close, said he didn't feel dawson did enough to truly beat him but will let the fans decide that. but he also pretty much admitted defeat too and was pretty complimenting to chad, saying he hopes he's champion for many years to come. Dawson likewise complimented hopkins saying he fights like a 35 year old and is still capable of beating most guys and that he was surprised at how tough the fight was.

B-Hop can still beat up some top level guys, but I would like him to retire before he gets knocked out. I don't think people realize how hurt B-hop truly was in the 11th when he tackled Chad to get time to clear his head. At 47 he has nothing to prove I still rank him little below Roy Jones Jr. B-Hop is an boxing legend.
