Let me know how Joe Hanks looks. Undefeated heavyweight prospect, he's fighting a scrub but he's beaten some solid fighters .. which doesn't make sense to me why he's fighting such a low class fighter.

what's everyones thoughts on David Lemieux? He's fighting Rubio on Friday Night fights. Is Lemieux the real deal? 25 wins 24 KO's. From what I've seen of him he's been nothing but awesome, granted against lower opposition. I think this fight will prove a lot as Rubio is pretty durable and an experienced fighter.

He doesn't look like a badass but man does he have some power

I think Lemiuex is good, but more or less B+ good.
Given I haven't seen a lot of him, but studying his actual ability he does everything really well. He just doesn't do anything better than the top people. He's not the strongest, he's not the fastest, he doesn't have the best movement, etc. but everything is well above average. That's really the only way I can put it.

To call Rubio a true test really shows the type of opposition he has fought so far. I don't see him being undisputed or a long term reigning champ. Nothing like that. Not from what I see so far anyways.

he's only 22 years old, so Rubio at this point of his career is a good step up.

He has fought a couple decent names. He knocked out Elvin Ayala in one round, who it took Arthur Abraham 12 rounds to finish off. After which he KO'd Hector Camacho Jr in 1 round, who obviously is no Sr., but he'd never been destroyed like that before. So I think this really reveals just how powerful he is.

The middleweight division is going to be stacked in the next couple years though, that's for sure.

Decent card this weekend. I'm inviting people over for it. I've supported Guerrero for a big part of his career and hoping he wins this weekend.

Morales hasn't boxed since like 2005 so if and when he makes this a firefight, he'll be losing. He shoud abandon the Winning gloves for at least this one fight. He doesn't have the fire power to hold Maidana off. He needs all the help he can get.

Lemieux is legit to me. His power is insane. IF he's moved along well, he should be a HUGE star

Morales fought 3 times in 2010 (against shitty opponents though - Jose Alfaro, Willie Limond, Francisco Lorenzo).

I fully expect him to get KO'd only question for me is when.
I had a nightmare about him getting destroyed actually. Most vivid dream I've ever had.

Not sure if you were talking to me but I was alluding to Morales having "boxed" as in not just trying to make the fight a war, since 2005, maybe earlier? If he can fight a disciplined fight and box his way to a win, I think it's realistic that he could actually win. If maidana had worked with Rudy Perez for more than one fight though, I think there would literally be no chance for Morales to win at this weight at this stage of his career against a relentless pressure fighter.

Good stuff man. I'm really pulling for him and have been for years. Hopefully he can pull the win off and get the big fight he's been hoping for.

If Marquez fights Judah, I'd love to see Guerrero fight the winner of that fight. Very intriguing matchups to me either way.

On a side note, I saw a billboard for this fight today here in Oklahoma City of all places. That made my day

Katsidis is a solid fighter and you know he's going to bring it to Guerrero early. I hope to see some killer instinct from Guerrero this time if he hurts Katsidis which I think he will.

Both of them look in tip top shape and ready to go rounds:

Cotto & Paulie

Kirkland and Ishida

Maidana & Morales

honestly that's the only thing that's been lacking from his game lately - not finishing off his opponent when he has the chance. If he cant start doing that, not only is it better (cuz you don't want to let your opponent stay in the fight and give him chances) his popularity will skyrocket.
