I think we probably seen two different Castillo's. The one I saw was washed up and slow. He looked like a bum. He won't win any more fights against top contenders. He's done. You're blind if you can't see it...

LOL...and you're an idiot. That's been proven.

To lose to Ricky Hatton is nothing to be ashamed of. He didn't lose to just ''anyone''...

If you lose a fight, are you suddenly ''washed up''...

He was the number 1 contender, and suddenly he's ''washed up''...that makes no sense. He's a hell of a fighter...he'll be back. He was never a HUGE draw, or a huge superstar...but he's a hell of a fighter, and a fighter that's well respected in boxing circles.

Tony, you don't want to start. It's too early...smh.

I completely agree; he looks horrible. But I don't think it's an indicator of his ability. I think he'll be ok; it was a tough fight, and Hatton IS that bad.

He needs to put all this shit behind him and stay focused; he'll be back...

He probably "was" a hell of a fighter. Get off his nuts man. He's a bum now! It wasn't just that he lost he was getting whooped. He's a shot fighter and he won't be back. Don't be a fool and lose your money like that other cat did...

Here goes Tony and the ''nuts'' comments again...

There's a difference between being a supporter (ME) and a dickrider (YOU). Kind of like...when you follow a player to a team, and jock his nuts, and then jock the nuts of that team, and then suddenly, WHOA, you've got nuts in your hand, nuts in your mouth, nuts in your pocket, nuts in a safe deposit box, nuts in your glove compartment, nuts in your underwear drawer, and nuts in your left shoe.

Kind of like you said ''if your a fan of the Raiders you have to support them always and believe they'll be undeafeted, etc etc blah blah etc etc'' or something like that...

I'm a fan of Castillo, and I BELIEVE he's not washed up. He'll be ok. Boxers LOSE sometimes, even the great ones.

Ali lost, DLH lost, Chavez lost, Hearns lost...it happens. I agree he looked spent early, hell, almost during the entrance. But that's not the Castillo I know, and I've been a fan of his for many years. I think he'll take time off and then come back. Will he be able to beat Hatton at that time? Who knows, but I do know he'll be just fine.

Boy you mentioned some great fighters... Castillo shouldn't even be mentioned with those fighters. De La Hoya lost but he's not washed up like Castillo is.

Nothing wrong with being a fan... maybe you're in denial or you're just blinded by your fanfair. Castillo will be fine as long as he doesn't box against top contenders anymore. His fights with Chico were classic. You won't see that Castillo anymore. He's done so stick a fork in him and find another fighter to support. He didn't even win one round against Hatton... all he did was land a few uppercuts (that didn't even faze Hatton). Castillo looked bad and he won't look any better against top contenders!

LOL...Tony, Tony, Tony...can't you see the hypocrisy in what you're saying?

Re-read your Raiders posts...lol.

Moving on, you can't base a fighters worth on one performance. DLH got smacked around by Hopkins, and has looked just as good since, IMO. What about Mosley vs. DLH...same thing. And that's like saying since the Raiders (the ones you support this year...LOL) were 2-14 last year, STICK A FORK IN EM, THEY'RE DONE, FIND ANOTHER TEAM TO SUPPORT...

I shouldn't have to show you that you're a hypocrite...I'm sure you've heard that before.

Are you comparing boxing to football? Give it up because you're looking pretty damn stupid right now.... Football teams get younger... boxers get older. Sugar Shane didn't smack De La Hoya around. I've never seen De La Hoya get smacked around. Sugar Shane and De La Hoya fought very competitive fights. And De La Hoya didn't get "smacked" around by Hopkins. De La Hoya was winning the early rounds and as the fight progressed Hopkins began to win rounds and then De La Hoya got caught with a liver shot like Castillo did. The difference though was De La Hoya was in the fight. Castillo was never in the fight. There is no hypocrisy in what I am saying.

Castillo is a shot fighter!! He's the one that got smacked around...

LMFAO this at this fool comparing Castillo to De La Hoya!!

LOL...DLH was NOT in that fight...Hopkins was toying with him the ENTIRE fight. He KNEW DLH couldn't hurt him; I almost felt sorry for DLH.

And 'age' in boxing can often be overrated. Look no further than B-Hop.

The ENTIRE fight? LOL... Hopkins was leading by like 2 rounds when he floored De La Hoya with that body shot. De La Hoya has never been toyed with in the ring.

Age can not be overrated in boxing... sure you have your select few that fight pretty good and keep themselves in good shape going into their 30's and 40's... but there's a "select few". Age is very important in boxing!

Like I said...it CAN be overrated.

In Castillo's fight, I think there were more factors than age...one being Ricky Hatton. I wouldn't be ashamed to lose to him if I was a profesional boxer...

Losing happens; it's what you do after the fact...

Nothing wrong with losing but it was the way that he lost. He looked old and slow... taking nothing away from Hatton because he was faster and sharper. But Castillo looked pretty bad... he looked bad in the fight before Hatton which leads me to believe he's pretty much done with fighting with the top contenders.

Hatton became the IBO Light Welterweight champion in the process of destroying Castillo, who was left to nurse two broken ribs, and Ricky extended his amazing undefeated record to 43 fights.

That's why he didn't get up. If you watch the reply of the knockout, about 10 or so seconds before, Hatton landed the same left hook body shot that had to hurt and possibly was the punch responsible for breaking his ribs. Not many people in this world could get up from that sort of pain
