Both of these fights are supposedly tune ups. But this fight could possibly be dangerous for Hatton if he decides to slug it out, since both fighters have that come forward style.

I'm glad to see Castillo back in action, I don't think he should have a problem making weight this time around...and shouldn't have much trouble with his fight...the guy he's fighting is inexperienced, I think he's only in his 15th or 16th bout...

I'd like to see the Hatton-Castillo matchup, I think that Hatton is overrated, and I think that his win against Collazo was questionable...

Not to thread jack but does anyone know when De La Hoya - Mayweather tickets go on sale...? ( Not from Stubhub, or any other ripoff site, but OFFICIALLY through Ticketmaster or what not...)

Anyone else planning on heading out to Skin City for this Superfight ?

I've never seen Urango fight so I'm not sure how the fight with Hatton will play out. Personally, I thought Hatton lost his last fight to Collazo and now he's got to drop weight to make 140 again so who knows how he's going to look. Castillo on the other hand will probably mop the floor with his opponent to set up the Hatton fight for later in the year as long as Hatton beats Urango. Then we can really see what he's about(Hatton), I thought he lost to Collazo and I personally don't like to watch him because every fight I've seen he's had to resort to using illegal tactics.

Right on for the info !

I wish it would've been at The Staples, but I also knew that they'd be out to get every last buck they could get, so its in Vegas. I'm probably going to try and grab some $350 seats, for whatever thats worth...

Hatton fought a boring fight tonight. he did what he had to do to win, granted it didnt take much cuz of Urango's lackluster output. but i wasnt a fan of his punch and lunge in for a hug session

Hatton has always held for the last 4 rounds. That's just his style.
Castillo didn't look that sharp. He should have mopped the floow with Herman Ngoudjo. Age, weight, I dont know...but he should have clowned Ngoudjo.

This might be a case where people think you're only as good as your last fight and since Hatton looked better they'd probably pick Hatton over Castillo. But look at the situation, Hatton had something to prove since this was his first fight in Vegas and all Castillo had to do was win(although he looked sluggish). So personally, I'm not taking one guy over the other based off tonight's performance... Hatton did show tonight that he can be hurt to the body in the 5th and that's Castillo's specialty and on the other hand Castillo didn't look in top form, so we'll see. Ngoudjo was the suprise of the night for me though, maybe it was Castillo's lack of intensity, bad training camp, weight issue, etc. or maybe he's just better than I thought. I'd have to see him fight a couple more times to make a decision on that guy.

Castillo did look a bit rusty, and his legs looked a little frail in the later rounds. I think that he had a hard time finding his distance though...

Both fights were pretty uneventful though IMO..

I'm still wondering how the fuck Urango weighed in @ 139...that dude looked huge...dude must have hollow bones or something...LOL...I mean...he looks like a middleweight..

"I don't think for one minute Ricky Hatton's record bears any comparison with mine," said Castillo. "He is 42-0 but things like unbeaten records can be very misleading. I am not bothered about it. It will end. I have fought and beaten some of the best fighters in the world whereas Hatton hasn't got names like Diego Corrales, Floyd Mayweather or Joel Casamayor on his record. He fought Tszyu when Kostya was on the way down and even then Ricky had home advantage."

That doesn't mean he's overlooking Hatton, he predicts an all-out war, but a war that Castillo has no intentions of losing. According to Castillo, speed will be the key to victory because Hatton likes to face fighters who are slow.

"Hatton is a good, strong fighter, but I am going to knock him out," said Castillo. "Hatton is there to be beaten and I know I am going to be the first boxer to do it. My trainer told me he has never seen me any better in the sparring I have done. That is a warning to Hatton and he should know that on 23 June it will be a war. I am going to win that war. Hatton will have never seen anything like me. I have the best upper cut in the division and I will use it against Hatton. Ricky is used to slow, cumbersome fighters, but I have real hand speed and that will cut him down."
