Mosley Likely Going Down Under For October Fight, Also Rafael Marquez Back W/ Nacho & Signs With Gbp

Former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley (47-8, 39KOs) has advised BoxingScene.com that his next fight will likely come against Anthony Mundine in Australia. The bout would take place at 154-pounds, with an October date being targeted. Mosley last fought in May and won a twelve round decision over Pablo Cesar Cano. Mundine (44-5, 26KOs) dropped a twelve round decision in his last fight, which came in January against IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale.

"It looks that way [that I'll be facing Mundine]. I haven't talked to Golden Boy yet or [manager] James Prince or my attorney Josh Dubin but I think it's [going to happen] in October, maybe early October. It's going to bet at 154. So I'll fight him at 154 and then move down to welter," Mosley told BoxingScene.com.

Mosley's name was being whispered as a potential opponent for Kell Brook in September, but the former champion has heard nothing from his management regarding a match with Brook.

Former champion Rafael Marquez (41-8, 37KOs) has signed a four fight agreement with Golden Boy Promotions. Marquez, 38-years-old, plans to return on a Golden Boy card on September 7th, and then wants to have three more fights before ending his career. Marquez last fought in October of last year, losing by way of a ninth round TKO to Cristian Mijares. Marquez was very angry with the stoppage, stating the referee jumped in too quickly in a very close fight. At the time of the stoppage, Marquez was ahead on one card and down on the other two.

"I've signed for four fights with Golden Boy and my return will be on September 7. I will make those four fights with Golden Boy and then say goodbye to boxing, which could happen in 2014. I need another world title, I feel pretty good to continue fighting. People will see the difference in Rafael Marquez. I have to show them that I have a lot left. There are many opponents who could face me.........Abner Mares, Leo Santa Cruz, Victor Terrazas," Marquez said.

After three years of training under coach Daniel Zaragoza, Marquez has decided to return to training with Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain, who also trains older brother Juan Manuel Marquez.

That's awesome to see Mike Tyson involved in the sport again. Hopefully he can build a decent stable. It's not easy to do ask 50 cent, but I think so many fighters look up to Tyson maybe he can pull some solid prospects.

look up all the interviews from the Canelo Mayweather LA presser, Mayweather says he's ppv king and says Manny is done. No reporter asked him a question. Or even better, don't answer any Manny questions. But that will always haunt him and he knows it. Oh yeah, whether new or old boxing fan we all know this fight won't happen so neither fighter should answer those types of questions cuz giving it attention is acknowledging the fact that they both wonder what would happen if they fought eachother.

Tyson is a really big fan of the sport and a pretty smart guy actually, he was just a nutjob for a time. Hopefully he surrounds himself with good people. I think more promoters in the game can be nothing but great for the sport. Floyd has quietly been building his promotional stable too. He doesn't have any great fighters but I think that'll change once he gets closer to retirement and beyond.

Please show me some records that show Manny has ever had a $30 million pay dayz? You cant because their is no record of it. I know for a fact Mayweather has made $40 million his last few fight because he paid taxes to Las Vegas for those amounts. Per tax records with Las Vegas Manny made $8 million for Bradley. You know the 140lb Bradley that Manny fought other then taking the $40 million to fight Mayweather. The only way Manny is making$40 million is with Mayweather. Meanwhile Mayweather is getting $40 million plus upside PPV against Canelo. Is Manny going to make $40 million against Bum Bum Rios? If not then Mayweather offer was more the fair to Manny because he not making that money any where else.
