Even though Brook is better then Khan this fight is just as bad as Canelo vs. Khan
It's not a good fight but not quite that bad lol. Khan is so damn chinny, got brutally KO'd multiple times and hurt/dropped by almost everyone he's fought. Brook at the very least is undefeated and bigger than Khan. The problem though is he's fighting Golovkin, and not say, Billy Joe Saunders or Danny Jacobs or someone like that where he might stand a chance.

What we should have got:

Brook vs Khan
Canelo vs Golovkin

This is boxing so of course that got all fucked up, Khan refused to fight Brook, Canelo refused to fight Golovkin and instead we get the retarded fights that make zero sense :dead:

Let's not talk about the guys that ducked GGG. Now, Andre Ward's views on GGG are legit. GGG is the biggest duck of them all. He is not willing to take risks. He can actually fight any descent 168lber at a catchweight and no one would talk shit. He just fought Wade, so the whole "not fighting a Haymon fighter," is a lame excuse. He could have fought Quillin, Lee, whoever. But he's fighting Brook FOR MONEY! I ain't mad at him. Get that money. But for all the people that were talking shit about Canelo being all business: Check yo'self fo you wreck yo'self

which 168 pound fighters exactly? DeGale vs Jack is in November, Ramirez just injured himself and pulled out of his fight this weekend and so on. K2 said they didn't have any other offers and they took Brook because it was on the table from Hearn with the exact same deal that was for Eubank. So then what? Chase more fighters, waste more time when they have a date in September to fight. They risk not fighting at all then and having to wait till December.

And no, they couldn't fight Lee & Quillin...why would they? Both are coming off losses. Lee is going to rebuild himself by fighting a bum and Quillin is fat about 200 pounds partying on beaches somewhere far far away from boxing. You don't know what you're talking about as usual.

No, you don't know what you are talking about. Then why fight a welterweight? What about Lara? Kirkland? Or a Charlo brother? He went as low as a welterweight all for the money. God damn shame

They got Brook because they were working with Eddie Hearn for a month straight working on the Eubank fight. All the UK shit is done by Hearn, he got everything in place with Sky Sports, the UK PPV, the revenue, the venue, the international network deals, etc etc. Everything was in place for Golovkin to fight, everything, big deal in the UK. Eubank wouldn't sign, Hearn offered Brook with the exact same deal to Golovkin and they took it.

Like Loeffler said, it was either take the Brook fight or drop everything with no opponent and start from scratch with other promoters, find a different venue, potentially a date later in the year etc. Loeffler said two weeks ago he hasn't heard a word from Lara's team, said they never contact him, only talk on Twitter after fights are made plus Lara is trying to fight Andrade.

Charlo bros aren't interested they aren't leaving 154 anytime soon which they've said, plus Jermall Charlo was ordered to fight Williams in a purse bid and Jermell Charlo has a mandatory in Charles Hatley. That leaves Andrade who said he'll fight Golovkin only after he unifies 154 and he's going to fight that one bum with the WBA regular belt next since he can't fight either Charlo brothers yet. James Kirkland hasn't fought since getting brutally KOd by Canelo that would be even worse of a fight, regardless he just got back with Anne Wolfe and they are going to start training again and rebuild him. What other options are there?

I definitely see where he's coming from. They get turned down by Canelo after wasting all year, then Saunders and Jacobs, work for 4 weeks with Eubank only for him to not sign. They needed to get something done asap after getting dicked around for so long by multiple opponents.

Let's stop right there. We do talk about those guys because it gives context to the fights GGG has to take.

Also do you not see the difference in Haymon taking the chance in putting a guy like Wade in with GGG over putting one of his 154lb title holders in with GGG? If Wade would've upset GGG he has an instant name on his hands, he's already cashing checks on Lara & the Charlo brothers - that fight is not as easily made.

You're acting like GGG and his camp could've had the Eubank rejection and immediately went to Haymon and had a fight secured. It's very clearly proven to not work that way.

Damn Brook has more balls than Canelo lol. Classic. While this is a mismatch just like the Canelo/Khan fight, atleast Brook isnt a shot fighter like Khan who had been exposed and knocked out already. Plus Brook is a big welterweight unlike Khan. Also why I will give GGG a pass for this fight is because unlike Canelo, no one wants to fight him at 160 period! Canelo couldnt use that reason as for why he fought Khan. Damn shame that these cats want to be fighters and no one at 160 wants to be a champion and fight for the title. This pussy affect is spreading quick thanks to Canelo. Got Em!!

Man, GGG has been fighting bums lately and getting paid good for it. So you are telling me that he can't find anyone between 154-168 to fight? He has until September and he usually fights about 3 times a year so yes they can go and find a fighter. Hearn is not his promoter, K2 is. And wyno is right, knowing Brook he's either gonna pull out or "get injured." So the chances of this fight happening later is great. Wade had a chance of upsetting GGG is a lame argument, btw

So, GGG declining Ward happened before Canelo declining GGG. Both of their arguments are that it doesn't make any business sense. Therefore, GGG started the pussy affect. The welterweight division is no longer the same, so both Khan and Brrok are "taking risks" and making that KO for a good amount of money

Was Golovkin ever champion at 168 pounds and was Ward ever mandatory to Golovkin? No? STFU then.

Plus we've been over this. 2013 Golovkin offered to fight Ward at 168 pounds since he couldn't get any big names. Ward rejected the fight stating GGG needs to build his name up. Then Ward goes into self inflicted exile from the sport. Fast forward to Golovkin signing a fight against Lemieux WITH the expectations of fighting his WBC mandatory immediately following. Roc Nation briefly inquired about a fight with K2, K2 said no, we already have Lemieux next and are expecting to fight Canelo after and Ward then immediately declares he's going to campaign at 175 pounds. Ward had a chance to fight Golovkin before Golovkin was in a position to unify and he turned it down. That's on Ward. Coulda, shoulda , woulda.
B @battle619 , stop trollin nigga.

I agree GGG doesnt want to fight Ward as Ive been saying. In his defense though Ward isnt in the 160 weight class and doesnt have a belt at 160 like Canelo, Jacobs, Eubanks etc......The people in his own weight class dont want to fight him. Its simple as that. And Canelo cant use that argument that it doesnt make business sense since a GGG fight would be the biggest fight Canelo can make right now. However GGG/Ward would not be the biggest fight business wise. Your reachin as usual. Canelo is the biggest puss since pussy itself. He should be shamed to call himself a Mexican! Got Em!!

So since GGG can't find a fighter at 160, he has to find a fighter at 147?
Why did you skip my post?

K2 and Hearn were working on the Eubank fight for weeks, if not more since they agreed to fight prior to his Doran fight. Eubank starts making crazy demands, wants to restructure the entire PPV model, wants to control the undercard, ticket prices, etc etc. Hearn can't deliver these absurd demands , offers k2 the exact same deal they already worked out but with Kell Brook instead. K2 accepts it

Look at my post you skipped over. No one at 154 worth a damn. Obviously they got turned down by Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs and Eubank at middleweight. So what can k2 do? Take a big UK fight that's on the table and have another fight in December after, or sit around hoping something else will come up.

I skipped it cuz you don't know what you are talking about. If it's not cool for Canelo to do it, then GGG shouldn'tdo it either. No excuses. He's a sell out just like Canelo
