I didn't know that was a Filipino thing... I know a Filipino guy and I had his spaghetti a few times and it's the best spaghetti I've ever had in my life...

Don't knock hot dogs in spaghetti until you've tried it! I was skeptical too but now I'm a believer!

... Ewww... I dont eat hotdog PERIOD... let alone in my spaghetti....

You love hot dogs

But it's not the hot dogs that make it good, it's the sauce

I had a boyfriend who was Salvadoran and his mom put carrot strips in her spaghetti, and not that much meat, but I think the meat thing was because they were kinda poor.

LOL, actually there is CHINESE SPAGHETTI, they're the ones that first made that type of noodle...they call their shit Chow-Mein though.

On another note, fried chicken with corn bread and spaghetti? NO!! LOL!! It's nice that everybody eats it with different shit, but to a wop like me...well...we'd never do some shit like that. It's spaghetti with plain tomato or meat sauce, parmesan cheese, garlic bread or a plain french loaf with oil and vinegar dressing to dip the bread in, and salad. Oh, and can't forget a glass of red wine, preferably a nice merlot....Ecco Domani usually works for me when eating a dark pasta (red sauce).

THAT'S how Spaghetti should be served up.

Alright let me clear this shit up, My girl is Black/Italian, so I got the best of both worlds. My momma and my step momma make friend chicken and cornbread with their spaghetti. I think they only do that, when money is good or they didn't feel like making garlic bread. They also mix all they shit together and bake cheese on top. Now my girl... she seperates the pasta from the "meat sauce. Some times makes a salad and garlic bread and she's done. Typical Italian right! But since she grew up around Louisanna based black folks, every once in awhile she'll make corn bread and hot wings. So no one is wrong, but hot dogs(yo daddy must be good at making spreads), corn(that 's not even right), and even more carrotts(sounds like Italian eggrolls). Oh sorry... but bean casserole! Never heard of it.

Since my family learned american (ie all other cooking besides mexican food) from others we do spaghetti pretty traditional, salad, garlic bread. But one day it was decided that instead of garlic bread there should be some corn tortillas and a jalapeno chile. Yummy!

How the spaghetti is made isn't the issue. Its what it is served with that we are funkin over.

And I make my sauce from scratch....fresh mushrooms, peppers, garlic, tomatos, herbs, with ground beef and italian sausage.

For real, Bean Casserole... that's different, Hotdog's... that's questionable, Carrots... that's very different, but long as it's a bread on the side it's pretty much the same. But I don't care, hotdogs & pasta is a rich Spread. Just add mayo, doritos, etc.

He doesn't usually complain, but I think he was just bein hella disagreeable last night.

Shit, I throws down, and a lot of what I cook is shit I taught myself how to cook. I either look shit up online or ask Angier how to make it!!! On sundays, we usually have a big dinner with greens, mac and cheese, rice and gravy, etc.
