the intro to don't get stomped be talkin about red strings and shit.... wtf... is that a power & light thing or someshit? I just wondered about that shit every time I hear that.

Case in point:

I was making my weekly rounds by my music stores to re-up their proo stocks when I got into a conversation with the proprietor of a mom-n-pop about window promo. She's in love with Kaliko, so she keeps the Genius poster in the window because it continually sells well every week. She also told me that she was going to hang up the Sickology 101 poster, but it was too dark.

Now knowing that the K.O.D. album art is eerie AND dark, I had to perform a hard sell on the Sickology album, then give her background info on what the paint and the split face stood for so that I won't have tremendous problems next week with the K.O.D. promo.

The cover advertised the album wrong.

To me the difference was enormous. I felt pretty deceived, but I still love most of the songs on the album.

I expected...

Red Nose, Sickology 101 (because of the subtitle, that got dropped), and Far Away/Dysfunctional.

The rest, for the most part, was party music. Not saying I didn't like the album, because I did. Just not what I expected.

creepin is a real slick track.. what they did at the start with the sound is awesome. Its like a split screen on a movie but with audio

I'm going to take a shot and say that the point of the Sick cover was to be "I am your teacher, and I will tech you the technical, and the sick". I can see a clear idea on the cover, but I don't think I could figure out what type of music I was going to hear by looking at it. It could be anything really... I think the nonsense on the blackboard changed the tone a little bit.

But again, did Killer's cover really represent the sound of the album?

HATED that track. Beat, hook, everything was awful IMO. Subject matter was dumb as fuck too, I dont wanna hear about Tech fuckin some cheatin bitch while her husband is at work making a living for her. One of the worst Tech songs EVER.
