i think walter payton and bo jackson may have been the best overall athletes to play the game. i did a report on payton, he was in incredible shape. teamates also reported he punted a ball like 80 yards, and could throw over 70 yards (most qb's can't do that!) he had so much power through the holes and breakaway speed, and he did play on what is considered basically the best team ever. but yes, i still think barry was the best single player in the league. he is the player that made teams completely change their game plans the most for one single player! he consistently broke over 3 tackles on a carry and carried the team on his back. scott mitchell, the qb that was there alot of the time sanders played, was the shittiest qb in the league (that's a fact, check the stats!) there will more than likely never be another like him. agree or not, that is my vote.
as for qb's, i would say joe montana. he had unparalled accuracy even tho young's rating was higher. now that i think about it, it's kind of a toss up between him and montana. montana accomplished more, but young worked harder and won games off of effort, but montana won off of God given talent, but he couldn't run the ball for shit. not many games did montana finish the game with a dirty jersey. i guess my vote goes to montana, either way, they were both niners!
and you can't forget about warren moon. he is way underated
