My other point I was tryin' to make too family, is that if you're a rap artist and have no felonies and you've never been arrested , flip that. Don't just sit there. It's a gang of good hearted humble cats that made some bad choices, and now they can't ever get that chance to flip a day job and get some music opportunities crackin', for real.

I work a 9 ta 5...

Like T-KASH said, alot of people make mistakes in thier life for various reasons and lose that chance to make a legit living, or at least it becomes extremely difficult to survive and feel they have to resort back to whatever got them caught up in the 1st place.....the focus should be to stay out of the "system" BY ANY MEANS!!....and legit money, 9 ta 5 or other wise is system repellent.

Having said that....if you feel the need to get it other ways why not stack it on the low and get it to the point of being able to wash and build something legit out of it...

But see...the average rapper/wannabe hustler is more concerned with how they look and thier image rather than the reality of most folks life situation which is to simply survive and be free and happy.

On another level if alot of fans werent so infatuated with the glorification of a violent lifestyle maybe artists wouldnt feel the need to fake it....after all, its just entertainment right?

only a little kid or dumb muthafucka is gonna try and clown sumone for havin a J-O-B
That's about 80% of the Siccness ur talking about.....When I was living in Sac I knew of several rappers that had regular jobs but I also knew of some that had real street hustles & lived what they talked about so it can go either way.....I remember Queens rapper Domination saying he worked as a file clerk during the creation of him & Bang'em Smurfs album they put out a few years back......This shit goes on all over & not just in the Bay.....Some artist stay in the street for image but some are there cuz that's just them......Ain't nothin wrong with chasing ur music dream but finding a 9-5 to proovide for urself & for ur family cuz that's what a real man or woman would/should do.

If you got kids bein just a rapper doesnt cover medical and dental....
for real, work has the benefits that rap don't. if someone gets hurt (knock on wood), and they just a rapper, they gon have to pay hella more money then they would if they were under a plan thru their job. rap can't pay for surgery either unless you wanna come out wit 12 albums a year or just the hospital back for the rest of your life lol.
