yes there are perks to lessn damage, yes the starting guns are not the greatest, and there is even a perk to up the damage your gun does. also it depends where u shoot. it takes 2-3 headshots depending to kill usually with the first gun u get... there is also a heavy barrel and foregrip to up your gun control...

I'm getting a hang of this multi player shit still got a ways to go. I'm just doing regular team death matches because I want to learn the maps before I start taking the game really seriously.
Question though - so I guess it randomly puts as a US or RU. So the guns are different for each? Cuz that shit is throwing me off a bit I'll join a game and I have my standard set of guns then next time I log on to play I have a different set of guns, but I'm pretty sure that's because I'm on a different team. Correct?

thats the starter guns for the class, as you level up the class you unlock more weapons/gadgets and they are universal for that class and you can also unlock general weapons for all classes, like the UMP
I use the UMP when assaulting with recon class for HC RUSH, I put down spawn points for me and my squad close to Mcoms.

thanks man. I've only got to play little by little since I beat the campaign mode so I'm still leaning about MP. It's getting better every time I play it, sick ass game. At first I was like a chicken with his head cut off just running around like an idiot. Felt like "The n00b" on that MW3 commercial where the black dude is just randomly blasting his rockets lol.

I USUALLY PLAY RUSH...AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME ILL GET A TANK AND BLOW UP ALL THE CAMPING SPOTS OR BUILDINGS WHERE RECON AND ENGINEERS CAN HIDE...THAT WAY THEIR EXPOSED...AND MY TEAM CAN LOCK DOWN THE M-COMS...AND THEN WHEN WE GO ON DEFENSE...THEYLL TRY TO DO THE SAME SHIT BUT I USUALLY LAY MINES AND THEY RUN RIGHT INTO THEM TRYING TO COPY MY STEEZ.

The creators of Battlefield 3, EA DICE, would prefer you not call their new Back to Karkand Expansion Pack a "map pack." See, they put it right there in the name.
That's because Back to Karkand features more than just four new maps -- Oman Gulf, Wake Island, Sharqi Peninsula and of course Strike at Karkand -- it offers Battlefield gamers even more bonuses. Five new dog tags, five new achievements or trophies, three new vehicles (the fast-moving DPV buggy, the BTR-90 Russian armored personnel carrier and the F-35B STOVL jet fighter) as well as 10 iconic Battlefield weapons. Yep, that's an expansion pack right there.
With the announcement of the latest Back to Karkand trailer, DICE also revealed a new feature that will come bundled with Back To Karkand: Assignments. Basically, Assignments are a set of tasks that players have to complete in order to unlock one of the ten new weapons in Back to Karkand. For example, in order to complete the “Let it rain” Assignment, players have to get 20 kills with a Light Machine Guns and two mortar kills, in order to unlock the QBB-95 light machine gun.
There are 10 total assignments, each unlocking one of the new weapons. The Assignments can be worked on both in Back To Karkand and in regular Battlefield 3, and once unlocked, the weapons can be used in regular BF3 as well.

I havent been playing as much as I've wanted but I just got to level 29.
I love the game but my only gripe is I dont think the weapons Im leveling up are that great. I need to try some different ones but the ones Im using have some better attachments.
You almost have to have the night IR scope to make it on some levels to make it through.
Any thoughts on what the best weapons are or the ones that are the best to level up?
