this is too publicized to get swept under the rug. if he thought oscar grant was reaching for a gun he would have used lethal force, not reached for a taser like the defense is saying. the testimony shows he did intend to shoot oscar grant. you can see these officers are trying to cover his tracks. his actions following the shooting say alot as well. i have no faith in our system but lets hope they get this one right.

what people neglect to understand is that cops are trained to fatally wound a suspect in other words empty out the clip or let off more than 1 shot. I dont understand why he would shoot only once if he felt he had a gun and felt threatened. If thats the case you shoot more than once, it makes more sense that he'd try to taze him since only one shot went off. Either way Mehserle's life is hanging from a rope, if he gets off with manslaughter, he'll have to go real low key for a long time. Either way in jail someone will try and kill him.
