you ask the atheist to show proof, but the atheist does not have anything to prove, because to us there is nothing to prove

the religious man is the one who holds the burden of proof

I feel I have the knowledge to disprove Atheism. "Knowledge is power".

What knowledge do you have to disprove Atheism? Do you have some information that nobody else on this planet has?

If science is the answer to everything. Is there a scientific method that proves science is the only answer?

What are you asking here? Why would there be a scientific method that proves science is the only answer? We use science as a way of understanding things, we dont need a scientific method to prove that this works. Its comman sense that science works. Look at all of the technology we have, we can cure diseases, we are constantly improving technology. We can do this by Science. Not because of a God or religion.

Science aks for suffiecent evidence. But offers very little.

That statement is in favor of the Atheist not the Theist. Good point, science does ask for sufficent evidence and none can be found in favor of a god or any religion.

Same here. When you have a problem in life, you cant just pick up a science book and search for the answer. Thats where logic and reason come in. Atheist try to live there life and make decisions logically. When I have a problem I dont need a religion or god to tell me how to solve my problem. I listen to reason and I try to make the best decision. There is no place for religion in my mind. It will only kurupt the thoughts.

Religion teaches you to have "Faith." How can one have faith and still have reason? Reason and faith are complete opposites. Faith is a belief without, or in spite or, reason.

I am going to make a quick response to what was said about the science question. What science fails to do is use it self as a tool to disprove the existance of God. Because if Science is concise factual truth to everything then it could use itself to prove that. So in esscence science is a 'faith'. Atheists strongly lean on science disproving the existance of God. But science still fails to do so. Science is not common sense obviously because 80-90% of humans believe in God, god or gods. Many who claim a religion. Which then argues aggainst what is said for sufficent evidence. Science does not give any method to disprove or prove of Gods existence. God does not need suffienct evidence. God only exists of faith and faith alone. Look at all the people that attend church every week. That go on missions for their church. That offer their homes for those in need. Look at all the bull shit thats going on in the middle east. Look at Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, Muhammad Ali and the founders of this very country. All of them living under the providence of God. For evidence just look at history and look how religion has shaped humanity.

Science aks that theists offer emperical evidence to prove that God exists. Because science is what, observation and experiment? I know there is more that goes into it. But on the surface thats what science kinda is. Then you look at science and can say it contradicts itself because it does not offer any experiment or something we can observe. So therefore science can't be used as a final answer to a lot of questions. Because it doesn't meet its own requirments.

What you fail to realise is that its not science's job to disprove god, thats left up to the indivuals heart and mind. Science is simply to explain what goes on in life. It tests theories, collects evidence, then makes conclusions based on those test. Science's job is to PROVE, not to DIS PROVE. How exactly do you disprove the existince of god? personally I think its imposible to be able to do something that says their is no god. Science did one thing, exposed evolution. Now does that disprove god? no. does that contridict things said in the bible? yes. does that disprove the bible? ask yourself that question....

Some people don't wanna accept things. some people don't wanna accept that this country does horrible things. Like I said above, Science doesn't disprove god, it offers evolutions, which contridicts the bible. its up to the individual to make that conclusion, and use their common sense of reality. Their is no proof on religions side that their is a god, or an afterlife for that matter.

Then you look at science and can say it contradicts itself because it does not offer any experiment or something we can observe.

Science is NOT a religion, so you can't ask the same out of it as you can religion. People do not worship Science. The whole meaning of Science is to explain things that go on in our natural world. Their is no test to see what goes on after you die. All those books you speak of consist of tests, studies, and evidence. The bible speaks of words, some which people take to heart, but none of those words can be considered evidence.........

We dont have to worship anything. Most educated Atheists are dedicated in helping man kind further themsleves. We are people who believe humans CAN have an understanding and CAN help this world become something great.

Unlike what the bible preaches about the world coming to an end and unfaithfull spending eternity in hell. That only delays human developement.

I have nothing against a higher power. What I do have something against is settling for a religion that I know in my heart, and in my brain, can't be true based on logic and personal feelings. I said it before, their are millions of religions in the history of man, you think the odds of you finding the so called right one are good? And if their really is a one true one, then wouldn't that say that millions were made up. and if their is a chance that millions were made up, it wouldn't be inconcievable that ALL were made up by MAN. Just because people around you believe in a certain way makes it true?

Am I an Atheist? My answer, No. Why? cuz I can't say for 100% sure that their is no higher power, afterlife etc. I accepted that the human mind will never know for sure, while on the other hand, many have came up with stories to make themselves feel comfortable. So what I do is look towards my gut feeling. I strongly have this feeling towards reincarnation. was this theory ever taught to me? No. When did I reach this conclusion? as long as I can remmember. Ive felt strong in that theory my whole life, even before I even know what a religion was. I can't explain it, I just feel it. Maybe its the same feeling you have about your religion. But I'm not gonna dictate my life on a certain feeling, because we both have a gut feeling, and ours are obviously different, so whos to say whos right? I wouldn't bet my money on my side. I'm just gonna live my life how I see fit. And I don't need a god, or fear from god to dictate what is right from wrong, cause I can conciously make that decision on my own.
