So I read that there are close to 200 total missions in the AC2, including sidequests. I'm the type of person who will do as many of them as I can. So I just decided to buy both AC2 and Brotherhood haha.

this is an underrated game, one of the best of 2010. I think it came out so soon after the prior Assassin's Creed game people over looked it and figured it couldn't be as good.
Those were my initial thoughts, but then I played Assassin's Creed 2 right around the time this one was releasing, and I decided that i wanted to get it.

I bought the Collector's Edition too lmao. I don't regret it at all either. The Jack in the Box looks cool as hell.

start your trainees out with low level 1-2 star contracts..and get them bumped up...get all the assassin slots filled so you dont have to recruit

work them all up and when they get ranked to assassin they are fuckin unstoppable...smoke bombs, guns ....they kill guards with no effort

Number 1 had no replay value whatsoever. I still don't know if I want to get #2 or jump directly into Brotherhood. #2 doesn't seem that much improved over the 1st and I want online. Brotherhood looks tight with the MP.

gameplay is awesome though. you really appreciate all thats packed into the brotherhood if you play the second

put it like this, get the second if you see yourself as a fan of the series, collection reason..or just get brotherhood if you want to jump into to the latest and greatest

but its like buying unforgiven before buying xcorcist breh..

1 is a different character all together, you play altair.....

the 2nd game you start with enzio, you go through his memories and how he is basically forced into becoming an assassin because his father and brothers were killed...

there is a difference than reading the story and playing through it and all the detail that ubisoft put into the game for backgrounds....the whole story keeps you drawn in....if you skip ahead and move directly to brotherhood your missing out on a lot and with the story your gonna be so lost because it takes place immediately following 2....almost like brotherhood was supposed to be part of 2....

there are a few changes in brotherhood that you wouldnt notice unless you played 2...a lot of which was standard stuff in 2 now has to be bought in brotherhood......

i tried playing 1...but 1 is awful...and thank god i didnt pick it up prior to playing 2 otherwise i might have stayed away from the series forever

assassins creed 2 is a great game...even if your not into the story its still fun to free roam and just do side missions for hours...and sometimes i would get lost with time playing it...but dont think these games are 8 hours of play and your done...both games have so much to offer....but if you want to understand the characters especially outside of the animus you need to play 2...even revisiting the villa in brotherhood in modern times as desmond with it all gated and cars in the streets....it was a trip
