wow, cotto probably has a sparring partner that could have done better. That wasn't even a clinic because I don't think Gomez learned anything. Getting beat in the face like that has to be rough on the memory.

Margarito handled Kermit. It's hard to see Kermit's career being salvaged after this one.

Didn't watch the ones on showtime.

Today was a dope day for fights ..

Throughout the day I watched the Castillejo/Sylvester dopeness. Caught a piece of Dunne beating up Machado. Went to a live amateur MMA event for free out here. Just watched the HBO card from tonight and now I'm watching a stream of the K-1 event live from Japan.

.. I still haven't seen the LHW bouts.

My name is naner12 .. and I'm a fight addict =\

Margarito is no easy win or easy to outclass. He's aggressive, has a good chin and can punch. I think Cotto would beat him but not without taking any punishment himself.
Cotto is on another level. If Mayweather retires and never fights Cotto, Cotto will be pound for pound the best fighter.

jebus christ those were some beatings. First off, I don't understand why the hell manny kept telling Cintron to go forward. OBVIOUSLY Margarito is the much, much better inside figther and everytime they fought inside, Cintron was getting murdered. The only success Kermit had is when he created some distance and he could throw his jab and follow through with a couple combo's. One of the announcers said it best, Cintron was like a totem pole in the ring - just stood long and tall, with no head movement whatsoever. Perfect style against a guy like Margarito. If he consistently created space and tried to out-box margarito, at least he would have had a shot at winning. That game plan was suicide.

As for Gomez, damn, that was a serious beat down. I actually expected a little more competitiveness, however I didn't expect to see Cotto look that confident and cocky in the ring, which he never does. He gave Gomez absolutely no respect which is why he beat him down so badly.

Kinda feel bad for both gomez and cintron. lol

margarito has good enough defense and chin to not get K.Od, but on the offensive he has little to no had speed and his punches are so wide he's open for some brutal counters. I think a fight with Margarito would look a lot like Cotto/Abdulaev which ended in a T.K.O because Abdulaev's face looked like a meteor.

so anyone watch the Glen Johnson vs Chad Dawson fight that saw it differently then me? I re-watched it just now and scored it 7 to 5, Glen Johnson. A couple rounds were close, so at best I can see a draw for Dawson, a one point win would be questionable, but not too bad, three judges scoring it 116-112 for Dawson is a pathetic joke. I had Dawson a head 5-3 after 8, but the championship rounds 9, 10, 11 and 12 all went to Johnson. I'm going to make some gifs of this later to show how badly Dawson was hurt

For the dude that picked Gomez... Have you ever seen any of their respective fights? I don't understand how a boxing fan could've picked Gomez to win it.
I guess I thought too much of Gomez' victory he had over Gatti.... my bad fellaz. Why did they even make that fight man??????

Just got around to watching the Johnson/Dawson scrap. First off what a dope ass fight it turned out to be. Second I don't think it was a completely horrible decision to give it to Dawson. I felt bad for the post fight interview of Johnson and agree that he's been on the wrong side of decisions quite a few times.

.. I didn't score the fight round by round because I never do that on my first watch. Takes away from me actually watching the fight if I'm focused too much on scoring. I'll rewatch and maybe I see it different. Chad Dawson is a bitch though if he doesn't give him a rematch.

^^yeah it wasn't a robbery. Close fights aren't robberies (like pacquaio/marquez, etc.) and I could see a draw, or a one point victory for Dawson. What is a shame though is 116-112 on all three judges scorecards. Frustrating.

Also, something that obviously isn't always an indicator to who actually won the fight but it was quite amazing to me to see Johnson being introduced, hardly anyone applauded, then half way through the fight the entire crowd cheering at every punch Johnson threw and of course booing Dawson when he got the win.

Anyways, if he do end up scoring I'm curious to know the results. I scored it 7-5 to Johnson.
