1) ALL of our SIM cards are now 3G capable. The iPhone however will run on EDGE (about 5 times faster than dialup) as opposed to our 3G broadband network. Why did they chose to do this? Beats the hell out of me.

2) at&t/Cingular is putting all their eggs in ONE basket (aka the iPhone). So I don't know where your bro got his info but it's incorrect. This thing is gonna change the ENTIRE GAME please believe!

and Bobby, PLEASE prove me wrong. I've worked for the company for over 7 years and every fact I've posted is just that....FACT....Google yer ass off and you'll find the same info.

this is the main reason i wont be getting the 1st generation version. along with the fact the camera is only 1.3 MP and the hard drive space is ehhh. i'll definitely be getting the 2nd generation with 3G, 2 MP camera, bigger hard drive, etc.

I really wish I had cingular/at&t, but right now im stuck with t-mobile. Using the pearl atm. One usefullness i found about the phone is i can use it to surf the web as a tethered modem lol, using the EDGE network as speed.

I need to contact my cousin and see if he can get me one, maybe ill switch over..

If I was always on the road and had to do bidnezz with it.. it would be nice ot have. but I'm always working inside a building......

If you're gonna use the phone for all it's worth and use it's features everyday then it's a valuable investment.

I know a lot of people are bummed out over the price but when Apple first introduced the iPod in 2001 the asking price was $499 and all it did was play music on a black and white screen.

Fast forward to now you got a product that does way more than the average cell phone, it's a computer in itself with a full operating system. I know Windows has their own OS on smart phones but nothing is as simple as Apple products.
