Davey D was the first DJ to give me a break and was spinning 3 of my songs back in 87-88. he was a real radio guy and very very talented. hes a lil too political for me, but the man knows his shit. he had me on the air with him the same day he first played digital undergrounds humpty dance. i was sittin right next to Pac and shock and didnt even know who they were. The only ones from the Bay i really knew of at that time were hammer, too short and The Mac

damn Davey D, aint heard that name in a minute, he used to do a great imatation of E-40. also need to get Doug Banks he got the perfect radio voice..

did shock say why he would bring a back up dancer yet to appear on any DU song to the station though???

edit: like did he say this young man right here is the future of hip hop type shit??? or did PAC just make sure SHOCK had fresh can of sprite and sum beef jerky at all times?

naw they was just happy to be gettin airplay. i didnt know any of em. my dj had heard some of their earlier stuff, but i didnt know who they were.

aye man, i really hope you come through w/this station; it would actually be worthy of listening to the radio again. I mean the only hip-hop/rap station bearable now days is 90.5 KSJS San jose State Station but thats it literally. Hope things work out for this station, it would defnitly help the bay area rap scene come back to life. But yo good luck on this.

THAT'TS SICK WIT IT, I CAN FINALLY LISTEN TO SOME F.M. 2 NOW, I CANT STAND 94.9 OR KMEL , THEY GOT 10 MIN COMMERCIALS AND 3 MINS OF A WEAK ASS SONG.
